Lovely family run hotel...
Kind thoughtful service and lovely breakfast. Think of this hotel as an upmarket B&B...five rooms in a restored house.. everything you need is nearby... the locals are proud people and care about your experience of their island. Enjoy.

The hotel was nice to look at but the waiting staff were terrible, as useful as a chocolate teapot, they need some good training and a boot up their back sides. The bathroom shower unit had lost all its rubber so all the water came leaking out and the bathroom door fell off the first time i tried to close it. There was no mirror in the bedroom. The owners were very nice people and their uncle gave us a tour of the island which was very good and we learnt a great deal. The bed was very good though and i had a good nights sleep. i would not go again though.

This is an expensive hotel by Senegalese standards and as such I expected better service and maintenance. We arrived hot and tired after a long travel day and had to wait to check in while the desk ckerk fiddled with the printer trying to photocopy my passport. The hotel itself is in a nice old building which has been beautifully restored. The room was a bit small but nicely furnished and decorated, with a beautiful bed and new sheets. However, both towel racks were broken as was the toilet paper holder, a bathroom light was burned out, and the heavy wooden sliding door to the bathroom was off its rollers so you had to pick it up and move it to close the door. The wifi was poor, and they served instant coffee with the (included) breakfast. You can get all that for a quarter the price anywhere in Senegal. The location was good, but Goree is small and anywhere is a good location. Goree Island itself was really nice and I highly recommend spending the night there. It's charming.

Dans l'ensemble nous avons été un peu déçu par cet hôtel notamment au niveau du rapport qualité-prix la salle de bain était assez ancienne pas d'eau chaude. point positif l'emplacement de l'hôtel près de l'embarcadère et le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse
