Long past due for renovations.
I've stayed at Double Tree hotels in the past and they all have their strangeness and quirks, but generally they're just fine - nothing more or less than fine. They're kinda like a microwaveable meal but in hotel form; they solve the issue at hand and they're better than some alternatives. This Double Tree, if we're rolling with the analogy, has long since spoiled and is due to be tossed out as it festers in the back of the fridge. The room felt quite dirty and dated. The walls are thin. The windows were disgusting. Everything smelled like a light but fragrant mixture of mold, mildew, urine, dust, and other remnants of one-too-many travelers who perhaps were less than kind with the room over its many apparent years of service. To their credit, the front desk was accommodating for me when I initially asked for a room switch, so no issues with the staff. When the issues of the second hotel room mirrored the first, I realized there wasn't much winning with spoiled microwave meals. I enjoyed my complimentary Double Tree cookie, packed my things once more, and made a reservation at a much nicer hotel around the corner. I knew that a refund was out of the question so I didn't even bother. Honestly for the price, I'm not terribly upset over it - this hotel is *cheap*... But perhaps I can save you the trouble, or at least prepare you in advance. Know what you're getting into - if you just need a bed, it'll work dandy. Just promise you'll check under the mattress first, okay?

Great property when you get there however just a Denny's nearby. Fine if you are just staying on site - nice bar, pool but a bit quiet with not much to walk to

It was fine but the area was extra dodgy so the parking was gated which was super inconvenient. The room needs updating and the bathroom was the size of a shoebox.

Staff at front desk was not welcoming at all, very unpleasant. The hotel in itself is very out dated, almost hit my head on the ceiling. Breakfast is not included as it says on Expedia. You have to pay $15 for parking in a “gated” area that has break-ins often. Ice machine not working. Vending machines empty, left us without anything to drink.

There is a guy at the reception desk who is bubbly and full of life, he is a great addition to the team, he assisted me with check in. Overall a cool hotel for a brief stay. The rooms are average and mine was quite small. The pool area looked inviting but I didn’t have the time. Did the job.
