I have stayed at this particular hotel 15 times with family over a span of 10 years and this was such a disappointment this time. Upon arrival, we were told we would have to have two separate rooms because they overbooked the room that I chose. This wasn’t that big of a deal and they got us right next to each other. That night we went to the downstairs bar for a drink and the bartender was just plain out rude. I figured he was having a bad night, so I just left it alone. My family the next day went to lunch and we were gone for a few hours. We came back to our room and we were hit with the worst smell of paint. This smell was so pungent that we couldn’t even go in all the way. The smell was coming from the vents. I go downstairs to tell the front desk, and they say they will call maintenance. Instead they called the cleaning service with some air freshener. She couldn’t even walk in the room because of the smell. She then calls maintenance and I waited for an hour waiting on someone to show up, then I finally went downstairs again to ask where maintenance was. This was really irritating because I had kids with me. When maintenance finally arrived, he confirmed the smell and I went back down to ask for new rooms. The front desk attendant said he could replace the one room and that it smelled like that because they painted in the room right under us. I reminded him that this was not our fault and that he should give us two new rooms to be with each other like we intended.

Hole reason I chose this place cause the pool being inside and when I called to confirm my reservation I asked about the pool working and heated they said yes and it did NOT work and all I wanted was my 8 year old to be happy on her birthday and swimming and she was not

The hotel was good for a place to stay but the room (when air con turned on), elevator areas, and garage smelled of mildew/mold pretty fiercely.

I want to start by saying I would stay again and I probably had one of the best nights of sleep in my life BUT there are a couple of things: 1. It’s getting a little tired and needs some sprucing up-cracked paint, some super old gum in the carpet that’s probably impossible to get out, just little cosmetic things. 2. The toiletries are hysterical-If you watched “Schitt’s Creek” you probably remember the episodes where they referenced “Gel Time” moisturizer…yep, that’s kind of what they’ve got going on at the E.S. It’s like they said “hey, everyone go to your grandmother’s house, collect all of her old hotel toiletries and bring them here!” I highly suggest investing in a legit toiletries company. I did sleep well and the bed was clean and the lights all worked, so it gets a solid 4/5.

Aging Beauty needs some help

The hotel is aging, rooms need serious remodeling, they are dirty, paint cracking, old bathrooms etc. the indoor pool was just above freezing so unusable. Breakfast was good and great parking available. The staff is great and nice bar area for evening cocktails. This could be such a great hotel if they gave her a facelift- she needs it!

In the reviews it states that this is in walking distance to all your needs not true it is right off the highway in a little rough looking neighborhood. If i had to stay longer than what i did i wouldnt have stayed here. Staff was welcoming though. They did have breakfast there but we didnt have time to taste it.

typical embassy with nice facility and excellent dining but entire building had an odor of mold or something. it was clean but room just showed signs of being old and kind of outdated. but served its purpose for what i needed and will be staying here again next week.

Rather upset that pool was ice cold. We specifically come your place instead of comfort suites because of pool and breakfast but no working indoor pool was very disappointing and no spa and your sign said you had one, outdated? Manager special maybe should go to 730 instead of just 7

Poor stay

Our room was not clean. The bathroom was dirty. The remote control didn’t work. We didn’t have sheets for the pullout sofa. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The water was running through the walls cause the pipes were there. It was like Niagara Falls wasn’t a pleasant stay.
