I booked a reservation through expedia for the night of because I was on a work trip and my boss booked the reservation for the wrong dates so I quickly needed to find a new place to stay for one night. I booked this hotel as it was available on Expedia. When I got there, the front desk staff was quite rude and told me they “Closed the house” and I had to call expedia and get my money back. I asked to speak to the manager and they came back 5 minutes later and gave me a room. It was not a great experience, and obviously they had rooms available. I stayed for one night, the hotel was fine except for rude front desk staff and the room was outdated. Also only valet parking available. I would not stay there again.

My second night at the property had no hot water. The hot water pipe was broke. Keep in mind parking fee is $45 per night as well.

This old hotel is lovely. But, the street noise inside the hotel is loud. The management does not operate like a luxury hotel. No turndown, not preparation for guest check in and no bellmen that I ever saw. It is run more like a Holiday Inn than a Four Seasons. Also, to my dismay booking through a travel service saved me nothing. I was charged the posted rate. Not any discount at all.

This was my second stay at the Warwick. I do love this hotel, and not just because of the close proximity to our Dallas office. It feels upscale and luxurious while also maintaining an "old Hollywood" feel. Negatives would be the impressively lackluster water pressure in my shower. Also, I hate paying for wi-fi. A hotel as nice as this one, that shouldn't be a thing. Lastly, a suggestion for the staff: put enough breakfast order slips in guests' rooms so that they don't have to ask for them. I had to ask twice for them; the first time I asked I was told they would be brought up to my room, and they weren't, and the second time I asked the desk attendant just reached down under the computer and handed them to me. Just put enough in the rooms so that guests can more easily order breakfast, because it's that good!

There is no other historic hotel in Dallas.
We stayed for one night. I wish we could stay there a couple of more days. There is no other historic hotel like Melrose in Dallas. I have nothing to complain. You can walk to many cafes and restaurants from the hotel. Superb!!!!!!
