"The Wolf Den" - Lakefront suite with mountain views

Additionally, locally-sourced spring water is provided in a hot & cold dispenser. "The Wolf Den" is located on Douglas Lake in an area known as Muddy Creek, which is rich with history of the Cherokee Indians. Stand-Up Paddleboards, kayaks & life jackets are available to enjoy the lake (seasonal lake access is typically May-September), and world-class fishing is available locally (permit required). There is a firepit and Adirondack chairs to chill by the lake in the evening under the stars.
Located next door is Wolf PAWS wolf-dog sanctuary. Wolf PAWS is not open to the public but offers private tours by appointment. You can book a private tour of the sanctuary during your stay at wolfpaws.org to learn more about wolf-dogs (it's best to book in advance as tours fill up quickly during certain times of the year). This rental offers a unique opportunity to hear wolf-dogs howling morning & night from your private deck!
Wildlife is in abundance here, and during your stay it is possible to see black bears, deer, coyote, wild turkey, as well as many varieties of birds such as the Great Blue Heron, the Snowy Egret, Bald Eagles, Osprey and Hummingbirds.
The nearby town of Dandridge (~15 min drive) is the second oldest town in the state of TN and is named after our first First Lady, Martha Dandridge Washington. There are some historic sites to visit as well as boutique shops and a small pub/eatery at Dandridge Brewing Co. Downtown Knoxville is ~45 min drive, Pigeon Forge ~30 min drive, Gatlinburg ~45 in drive and Great Smoky Mountains National Park ~1 hour drive.
