Dauphin Island retreat

Property was so peaceful… loved sitting on the balcony to watch the waves…loved going out crab hunting at night. We had everything we needed including a beach cart. The island was just what we needed. Will definitely return!

Perfect

This condo is even better than described- literally a home away from home. The condo has everything you could possibly need, is incredibly quiet, and has a wonderful view. Donna is the most communicative and helpful host we’ve ever had when staying at a rental. Our first trip to Dauphin Island was perfect, and we can’t wait to return!

Perfect Family Beach Vacation

The condo was spacious and equipped with everything my family and I needed for a perfect vacation. We loved the location, because we aren't fans of overly touristy locations. The owner was very responsive and gave excellent check-in directions.

Excellent!!

We loved this condo. Both the living room and the master bedroom have magnificent views of the ocean. Everything you needed was right there. The owner, Donna, was so helpful and gave us perfect instructions for getting in, parking, and using the facilities. I slept so well there, which was great because I have chronic insomnia. Highly recommend!

Great time on the island

We've stayed at other condos on the island, and this was definitely the nicest and our favorite. The host was great, location and view can't be beat. Also probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on, on vacation.

Thanksgiving get a way

The property was by far the best we’ve stayed in. Beautifully decorated & very roomy. Well equipped kitchen. We even had salt, pepper and even non stick cooking spray. Both bathrooms had plenty of name brand shampoo, conditioner & body wash. The master bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. I can say enough. We have found our new regular go to condo for the Alabama Gulf Coast stays. Also Donna is a very nice and responsive host. No problems or complaints at all. 110% happy with everything.

Not the cleanest rental we’ve ever seen, but good enough. Great location, and access to pools was perfect since the weather didn’t cooperate for lots of beach time. We loved Dauphin Island and will maybe try a different unit in the same condo building next time. Good communication with owner/manager!

Great place for a relaxing beach vacay

If you are considering a stay at Dauphin Island I would totally recommend staying at Donna's condo. The patio is large with access from the family room and master bedroom. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the patio at the bar and reading on the lounge chairs. The condo has a lot of beach toys, floats, body boards, and beach chairs along with beach towels so you can pack lighter. The kitchen has a Keurig and conventional coffee maker along with all the needed pots and pans, some basic spices, and most everything needed to make basic meals. The master bed is comfortable. The condo is located on the 7th floor in the lobby area so you don't have to go outside. The two pools are nice, the hot tub is small but wasn't crowded during out stay. The view of the beach is great. Donna is very helpful and responsive. The location is also nice and an easy walk to some shops and dining.

January Escape

Our family loves a beach trip. We have made a habit of taking winter trips when we can. And this one was the most amazing one so far. The island was basically deserted, it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. The condo is even nicer in person than the pictures show and is the best stocked VRBO we have ever stayed at. The master suite has an amazing view of the ocean, and the balcony has amazing furniture. Stay here if you want to go to Dauphin Island. You will count down to your return visit! Also - our son left his Nintendo Switch in the room, and the housekeeper and owner were amazing to help us get it shipped back.

Great place

Property was exactly as described. We were very comfortable. All basics were included including beach chairs, beach towels, and even a tray of snacks and coffee pods! The view is spectacular. The place was quite roomy. Even the balcony was large and well equipped. The owners were a pleasure to do business with and responded quickly. We look forward to another visit here.

Restful, beautiful location

We loved the natural beaches and view of Dauphin Island. Our condo was in an excellent location for view and accessing locations on the island. Our only negative was the lack of dining establishments on the island during the Thanksgiving week. So many were closed for the week and I do think this should be identified as an issue during the holiday.

Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I traveled to DI for our first times as a 10 year anniversary getaway. We had never been to the area (I had never been to Alabama). My initial booking with questions was a little delayed for response, but I think that was due to a third party property management. Once Donna had my questions she was so prompt and descriptive. Even wanted to make sure I understood the type of area I was going to (that it was nothing like FL!). We absolutely loved everything about our trip. The location of the condo is THE BEST! Walk across the street and there are 4 restaurants to choose from. The other restaurants on the island are more spaced and not many are close to beachfront rentals. The gated parking garage made me feel comfortable and secure. This unit (712) is top floor with a common lobby entry. Units that are 11 or 12s I think have this. At first I was concerned that if I brought my kids down the children’s room may be louder with traffic outside. I am no longer concerned as people seemed really respectful. Also, an unexpected plus, was during a rain storm the other units that had an outdoor walkway were soaked from sideways rain. We never had to step outside. The unit was well stocked with everything you would need even for going down to beach. I was only expecting a Keurig coffee maker so special bought k-cups. There was a regular coffee maker as well that would use cone filters. I also didn’t see a cooler for the beach so we bought a disposable one at Ship and Shore. We also stopped at Walmart near airport for groceries and they made it fine to the island. I can’t wait for our next trip and I would reach out to Donna as soon as we have our dates. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Excellent place to stay

The condo was very clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the location was excellent. The view from balcony in the center of the building could not have been better. The furnishings inside and on the balcony were in good shape and I especially appreciated the seating on the balcony which included two chairs and a small table, two lounge chairs and a table with chairs for eating outside. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Island

The condo was perfect and very clean, bed was so comfortable everything you needed for the beach vacation is there. Only thing I recommend is that if you are planning to cook your own food then buy a grocery at the mainland area. This was a beautiful island we enjoyed every bit of it.
