I walked in at 8:30pm tired and the smell of mold was strong but I let it slide…I should’ve cancelled the booking immediately. But I checked in and my room was the adu room (I must’ve made the mistake on the booking). It was the very LAST room down 3 loooong hallways. I finally opened the door and the light switch did not turn on. I had to use my phone flashlight to find a lamp to turn on. The mold was SO STRONG I could feel it in my lungs already! It was just gross! I called the front desk several times using the in room phone and no answer so I called (from my cell) to find another hotel. I went to turn the key in and couldn’t cancel because I went through Expedia. Expedia had a cancellation policy for 8pm so it was 30 mins too late and now have to pay for 2 hotels! I had to leave because my lungs demanded it, so I left peacefully and calmly. I would still like to be refunded. I’ll never stay here EVER ! I’m at the Motel 6 and though it’s nothing great either, at least I can breathe. Just needed 1 night to sleep and then off to Orlando. I DO NOT recommend the Best Western Daytona on International Speedway

This place was ok. It is a cheap and convenient option for us, but I'm thinking of trying another place next time, not sure. The location is great! The breakfast was ok, not great. First morning I had eggs, sausage and toast - no special breads. The next day, I had eggs sausage and a bagel - a little better. Both mornings were decidedly better than a continental breakfast, but biscuits and gravy would have been nice. There is a waffle maker. Coffee was nice. TV remote was missing from our room - substitute remote did not work. Shower very meh. But we got clean. First room offered had a pot or cigarette smell. Changed to a better room. I'm glad we ended up with our balcony facing the pool and yard rather than the busy road. Overall ok.

Roaches crawling in the room
This is the third time that I stayed at Best Western International Speedway. I noticed real roaches crawling around the light stands and tables. They need to disinfectant the room very well.
