Rooms are dirty, dusty and overdue for a revamp. The food in the saloon was very overpriced and of sub-standard quality, had to send the $70 steak back as it resembled a piece of coal, then took 30 minutes to get a fresh one, I was so angry and fit to burst, severely lacking in management, basically fleecing a captive audience! Overall, would never stay there again, not recommended, save your money and stay in Pahrump!

Overpriced stay for motel 6 level accomodations. I understand you’re paying for the location. The amenities surrounding were nice. No microwave in the room, had to walk or drive several blocks to make any food in the general store. Bathtub was clogged so when showered the tub filled up and wouldn’t drain. I brought to the attention of the staff, said she would radio right away to be fixed. 3 hours later maintenance showed up stating they just got the call. They were friendly & fixed the issue, but given the front desk’s urgency I thought to stay out of the room for a couple hours hoping 3 hours was enough to be resolved. Just to be awoken from a midday nap, because can’t do much else when it’s that hot. One of the lights also didn’t work. Front desk didn’t seem concerned to get the shower issue resolved, could not offer any discount for defective room just wanted to move me. Was only staying that night longer so didn’t make sense. Not many good food or gluten free options, be sure to bring some food. The Inn was the only place with GF, had one entree the mahi mahi tacos and they were delicious. The buffet at the ranch was a little rude when asked about GF. I’m thinking the Inn might have been better worth the cost for your stay. Everyone there was very helpful.

Good location for visiting Death Valley. Accommodation is a bit outdated and could do with new/clean carpets etc. There was also rubbish left outside the stairwell when we arrived in the afternoon and still there the next morning which left an unpleasant smell. Dinner in the restaurant was expensive for what it was but you don’t have much choice around there. Same with the general store on site, would recommend bringing your snacks and drinks beforehand.

This is my third visit to Furnace Creek Ranch. Over the span of years, the condition of the accommodations have deteriorated. The hallway of building 700 was worn and in need of improvement. The tub was clogged and the shower curtain was mildewed and stained. Gross! No apology given when I checked out. Very disappointing .

We loved staying at the ranch! It was such a cool experience being able to stay inside Death Valley, the pool was wonderful, plenty of options for being out in the middle of nowhere!

Great for seeing Death Valley
This hotel is centrally located. We got up early and went to Badwater Basin and drove the Artists' Drive. Then we came back to the hotel for breakfast. There are dining options, a gift shop and a convenience store.

Our room was definitely dated. That wouldn't be a problem since I expected that, but the pillows were terrible! Our room also had a wet patch on the carpet. I wouldn't have noticed until I was bare footed. Gave me an ick. Who knows what that dampness was from. The buffet was extremely expensive for what it was. The food was mediocre at best. I expected expensive, but expected it would be good. It wasn't. Apparently when you're limited where to stay they don't have to try very hard. We didn't use the pool or the golf course so I don't know about those.

On arrival in reception everything looked great. Cooling sprayers on and air con fully working (it was 48C/138F). We checked in the room-not only tired but dirty-bits of stuff on the carpet. Edges of carpet not clean at all. The corridor even worse. We tried to get the air con working without success. Phoned reception to be told “set it to 72F or the motor freezes”. We did this , still not working. Phoned reception back to ask for a different room. No quibbles , come to reception for key. Moved to new room-still grubby but air con working. Reception must know it doesn’t work in some rooms but still put guests in them-why??? It’s not a cheap hotel but clearly they feel they don’t need to try as only one other hotel around. On a positive-the pool area is lovely and it was great to swim in the dark at 9pm. Didn’t try the food as we’d read the poor reviews beforehand. This hotel needs a serious overhaul.
