The hotel didn’t have hot water for me! It was sadly Luke warm, which was a disappointment since I was really looking forward to a good shower! Ugh~!
The location is great, and so many conveniences around. The bed was comfortable, but the noise of construction apparently next door with a constant loud thumping and banging didn’t help my jet lag!
Also, the sound of traffic and the constant honking was off-putting, so if you can, ask for a quiet room towards the back and such!
Our third stay at Hotel Florence and hopefully not our last. This has been our hotel of choice for the last three years. It was great to see that Santosh is still there, he’s always very welcoming. Clean room, good breakfast and a great location. Thanks to all the staff
Nice quiet hotel inside lol outside it’s a mess but interesting culture.
Location it’s very central it’s just the aparece of the área little too much for Americans tourists but I like it.
Breakfast pretty good very auténtic India food.
Hotel Florence robbed me of £152 by charging me twice.
I send them emails and messages via their website but they never reply.
I contacted Hotels.com but they never reply either. The whole India trip was nasty and l never ever go there again. I have been in touch with my credit card company to get refunded. Hotel Florence group so crafty to show that the amounts were different by because one invoice was for £152.76 and the other £152.45 so not look duplicated
No parking space !! Air condition not working !! 7 time power failour in 1 night !! Good things - 24 hr kitchen ,wifi, and cleaness was awsome !!!

Disliked: Staff & service
An o.k. Hotel in Karol Bagh, New Delhi
We stayed in this hotel five non-consecutive nights. The room was o.k. and the food in the restaurant was good. Our only complaints are:
1. The hotel location: the hotel is located in the midst of pretty busy, dirty not particularly nice neighbourhood.
2. The hotel staff are not particularly helpful with ether arrange transport or with finding any services/restaurants in the neighbourhood. There is no local map and when asked about a service/shop they inevitably offer to take you to the shop where a friend/relative can offer them commission. Same with transport, the staff refused to call a taxi, offering instead their overpriced car and driver service.
3. Also be weary of the auto rickshaw (tuk-tuk) outside the hotel. All will want to take you, not where you want to go, but to where they want take you, i.e. to a shop where they can earn a commission.
although the hotel is older and smaller, it is very well kept and up to date. the rooms are small, but have all the necessities you need. They have plasma TV's, new bathrooms and comfortable beds. Although the hotel is not located in a tourist area, to me it was in a good location. Every night there are local markets and vendors all nearby, and the area is very safe to walk around. The staff all speak English and are most helpful. Inside, the place is spotless, as there are always guys cleaning here and there.
i would recommend the hotel, especially for the money you have to pay.
This is a great hotel and I can recommend this very strongly. We ate at the restaurant most nights and found this to be excellent. If we visit Delhi again in the future we will use this hotel again.
The only draw back of the hotel was location. It is in a not so desirable part of Karol Bagh. You can barely set foot outside the door without been descended upon by hoards of hawkers so the lengthy walk to the metro station is not a pleasant one.
The Hotel Florence is a wonderful little oasis from the high-energy of Delhi. The staff is attentive and the property is clean and comfortable. The included breakfast is simple, but tasty. If you are looking for something that is VERY convenient to the city though, this isn't for you as it's about a 20-30 cab ride - mostly due to the traffic. It can be difficult to find as Karol Bagh is a bit of a maze - but it's worth the effort.
We arrived mid morning but had immediate access to our room. Our taxi was greeted immediately by staff - check in was smooth and quick. Whilst hotel looks nothing from outside-the room was perfect- see photos. Very clean and well prepared. Double shower and good bathroom facilities.Firm bed. Competitively priced mini bar and staff able to bring in bottles of tonic water on request.
Situated in middle of Karol Bagh, a busy shopping area- but no noise at night. Two taxi drivers struggled to find it but our tuk tuk driver at night brought us back without a problem. Well located to the metro which is fantastic and easiest way to travel.
Breakfast was sufficient but limited choice. We did not use the restaurant or in room dining.
We changed money at front desk at very competitive rates- information /advice was also excellent. They arranged an air con car for us to get back to airport at a cost of approx £9.
We had two nights at the Florence following an organised tour of the Golden triangle staying in 5* hotels. We booked these additional nights (after the main tour) in advance through Expedia at a competitive rate. We had expected to notice a drop in standards but we really cannot fault this hotel. Thank you Hotel Florence for making the final days of our wonderful trip to India so good!
As this is our first hotel in India (north) , was told, no room slipper/tissue provided, 1 bottle water complimentary
Was feasted on by MOSQUITOES, immediately find new hotel at connaught place for next day thru internet.
Reason for booking Florence is because of its proximity to S Rohilla Train Station which we plan for a overnight train to Haridwar/Rishikesh.
Only hotel room with mosquitoes for our 11 nights stays in north india
