Summary:
Welcome to the Flip Flop Inn located right off Atlantic Ave. in Delray Beach! Walk or use Freebee app for free golf cart shuttle ride to beaches, restaurants and Tennis Center. 5 beds/1 futon. Great for family's with children. Pets welcome! Wifi, TVs, fire pit, laundry and a huge fenced in backyard with a fire pit, gas grill and plenty of outdoor seating. Larger families can rent backyard studio for additional space. Link found in owner profile (The Sanctuary).

The Space:
Flip Flop Inn is located right near the heart of downtown Delray. 25 bars and restaurants within walking distance. Perfect for families or large group of friends. Enjoy all of what Delray Beach has to offer from the bustling nightlife to catching waves with the surfboards that are included with your stay. Before taking the quick walk to downtown, hang out with your dog under the palm trees or sit by the outdoor fire place with a cold beverage.

Electronic Keypad allows for easy self check-in. Two modern bathrooms, one with a tub and shower and the other with a stand up shower. Deck and Seating area outside along with propane grill for guests to enjoy. Plenty of room for children and dogs to play in the fenced in backyard. Xbox gaming system and board games are available to keep the kids busy on rainy days.

Guest Access:
Guests have private access to the entire home and back yard. Behind the fence is a small studio unit that is also listed as a short term rental. If you are traveling with a large family, nanny or inlays - consider renting both units to provide additional space to meet your needs. Door on fence operating the units can be opened to adjoin both properties.

The Neighborhood:
Located 1 block off Atlantic Avenue and walkable to all Delray Beach has to offer.

Getting Around:
Before you arrive download the Freebee App. If you don't feel like walking, Delray's free golf cart shuttle will pick you up at the front door and take you to Beaches, Shopping, Restaurants, etc.

Interaction with Guests:
Onsite host (Delray police officer) is available to assist with any questions or needs you may have.

Screwed over by either host or VRBO, don’t know.
Drove 5 hours with my girlfriends and our 5 kids, evacuated from port charlotte from the hurricane and the host told me it was double booked when my girlfriend got to the property. No heads up nothing. Tried to cancel and the app would not let us. We were left high and dry with no where to go. Now I’m fighting to get my money back and that’s a pain by itself. Cost me an additional $1300 to get hard to come by hotel rooms so my kids had somewhere to sleep for the night. Just a nightmare all the way around.

House is fine. Not the neighborhood.
House is located next to a chaotic neighbor who makes noise all night and is regularly visited by the local police. Also drove by a neighbor down the street one morning who was being raided by the police. It may sound exaggerated but it is nothing but a factual description of what we experienced. We didn’t feel comfortable there. House and owners were fine otherwise. Delray beaches are superb and so are the restaurants downtown.

Warning! This home is located in very sketchy neighborhood
I do not write bad reviews but our stay was very scary and I think others should be warned before staying here and experiencing what we did, which ruined our vacation and we ended up leaving after one sleepless night. The house is fine on the inside, definitely a low budget remodel on an older home. But the big issues we encountered was the neighborhood. This is a very sketchy area, homes in the neighborhood are in complete disrepair, we saw street walkers, offered drugs. If you do stay here, do not attempt to walk downtown or return home after dark. The lot next door has a run down shipping container someone lives in with broken cars and parts scattering the lot. There were ppl in and out of the neighbors lot all night long with fighting in the yard the next day. They also have heavy welding machinery of some sort that was used all night long. We were scared to leave the home and would literally run to our car. While we were packing our things to leave and a loose pitbull charged at us and kept circling our car, preventing us from getting out. I contacted the owner who acted like she was surprised and apologetic and offered to give us a refund but she never did and stopped responding to my messages. I feel she is knowingly being dishonest with this listing and deceitful. I wish I would've read the review on other rental sites before staying here.... it's sounds like another traveler experienced the same thing we did. I highly recommend against renting this home.

Nice stay but the neighbors
The house is cute with a lot of nice details. We enjoyed our stay but wanted to communicate a few things for people renting in the future. Currently there are homeless camped in the empty lot next door. It appears they've been for a long time as they're set up with a trailer that's falling apart. In the evening there was fighting. It isn't a rental I'd recommend unless in a pinch.
