Wyndham properties, reasonable. Great staff.
When needing a hotel I generally look for Wyndham properties. I had a 6 day stay here in Aurora, Colorado from 9/12/24 thru 9/18/24. This was my sixth stay at a Wyndham property. One in Irving, Texas. Four stays in San Angelo, Texas. And one here in Aurora, Colorado. Never had a problem.
This stay was slightly different. I had been informed of the events taking place in Aurora before leaving. I didn’t let that bother me and had no desire to change my hotel arrangements. Access to public transportation is directly across from the hotel. Homeless individuals passed the hotel continuously. I never had any interaction with any of them. But the staff did.
Returning to the hotel on the night of the 14th, A homeless man had broken both of the glass doors in the main entry and one window in the dining area. Glass was scattered all over the foyer, lobby and part of the dining area. Which made the entry and dining room unusable and unsafe. This upset me greatly and I couldn’t just go to my room! The receptionist was cleaning up the glass with little success. So, I took over so he could attend to other matters. I got his broom and the cleaning staff cart with the mop and took care of business before anyone else would see the damage. No one checked in during that time, but one other customer came to the desk and saw the lobby. I apologized to the cleaning staff the next morning for dirtying up their mop bucket water.
Overall, I’ll probably stay there again.
