Rooms were pretty beat up. Table was literally on its last leg…about to break. Bathroom light didn’t work. But these were minor things. Room was clean, a good price, and good location. It was exactly what we needed for an overnight and we will most likely stay there again if in the area. It’s an airport overnighter hotel, so it’s not like a 5 star…but it is good. The grounds are trashed with litter, but it’s not just the hotel, it’s everywhere. Cities are just like that, especially cities like Detroit. It’s not their fault…but still.

Cheap for a reason
On the far north end of Romulus airports, breakfast wasn’t too impressive and there were bed bugs. Bathroom was clean though. Shuttle only comes if you call for pickup from the airport. Room service thought I left and came knocking on the door when they thought I checked out. 3/10 overall

Great place if you need to find very cheap place to stay near metro Detroit. Service is also nice but facility is bit outdated. Occasionally you will see bugs and it’s located right at the path of landing for DTW so expect to hear jet noise every 30 mins and some dudes blasting loud music as they drive by. There’s some draining issue with the shower and one of the room was missing a TV cable and had this odd smell but overall reasonable for the price and it is one of the cheapest stays in the area. The review makes this place sound bad I’ve stayed at an inn that is much worse near DTW so highly recommend for people looking for cheap stays near DTW.

Expedia makes it sound like free parking is included in your stay if headed to the airport and it is NOT. There is a charge per night. That was the whole reason we stayed there. Not happy at all about that.

Never stay here.
My wife and I had separate flights back from a trip and hers arrived six hours later than me. I decided to find an inexpensive hotel close to the airport where I could do some work while I waited. The only good thing I can say about Americas Best Value in Romulus is that it was inexpensive. It felt very shady. I did manage to get a shower in, but the water was cold. When I tried to use the internet, only one of their nodes worked and that one was so slow and disconnected so frequently that it was useless. I should have saved my money and waited at the airport, where at least they have reliable internet.
