Safe AND convenient parking.....very small room needed some furniture deleted. Bathroom light automatically turned on a noisy fan...bad for anyone going to bathroom during the night waking the other person

In our opinion, we recommend that you do not stay at this Fairfield! We stayed here for 4 nights and this is one of the worst Marriott properties we have ever stayed at. The air conditioning unit in the room was so loud and rattled so much, that you could not sleep or hear the TV without turning the volume way up. After 72 degrees, the heat comes on! Either super hot or super cold. The thermostat does not have a separate setting for heat or cold. We asked about changing rooms but the maintenance man said all the a/c units in every room are just as loud. The pillows were so soft and thin, we woke up with headaches every morning. The mattress was also too soft. Pillows, mattress and a/c unit needs to be replaced. In 4 days, we noticed that housekeeping did not vacuum the carpet in the hallways and the elevator. Carpet is old and stained; also needs to be replaced. Breakfast, although complimentary, is far below what you would expect and is less than what other hotels provide. Breakfast ends at 9:30am but they started to take items away before 9:30am. Even the front desk staff said “don’t expect much” so we went to Bob Evans right down the street and it has a great breakfast all day. Coffee was good and they have a coffee station set up at 4:30am. The rooms do not have a safe to store your valuable items. Overall, this property needs major updates and new management. We would not stay here again. There are many other hotels near the airport.

It was a ok place to stay if you’re using the shuttle and parking lot next door. The bed sheets were very rough.

Overnight parking is free here. Nearby hotels look cheaper but charge for parking. The free breakfast was very minimal. No bacon or sausage, and only fruit was an old banana. Excellent coffee!

My plans to visit my sibling in Washington State changed. I was still stuck with a hotel near DTW for a night. My boyfriend & I made the best of it. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. Our room was very nice. However, the staff could not have cared less. They were unreceptive. Unfriendly & unhelpful. A fire alarm went off at 11 am on the dot in our room & in the hotel. When we vacated our room and asked the receptionist if everything was safe, she responded, “yeah.” When I asked if anything had happened, without looking up, she said. “No.” This left us feeling like maybe the alarm was tripped to get people out of the hotel. Wow. I paid full price for a good stay. Also, the maid came to our door at 8:30 am and knocked twice, abruptly, scaring me out of a sound sleep. Work on customer service here. It is lacking.

Easy way to park and fly. The Hotel was very clean. Customer service needs attention asap. The front desk associate was very rude along with a few other guests that was checking. I asked about the hot water in my room and she stated I had to leave it running for at least 20 mins before I can get a hot shower. Like come on I have an early flight no one should have to wait that long to shower. Especially for the rate you pay to stay at your establishment.
