Lovely cottage
We have just returned from a wonderful few days at Yoah Cottage. It is very clean and comfortable and in a great location. The pub is right next door and has fabulous views over the Dorset countryside. The food is also lovely, we were sad that we weren’t there for a Sunday carvery. The only constructive criticism I would give is that the house sleeps nine people, and some of the equipment in the kitchen is inadequate for this many people. There in only one larger pans, and the kettle is very small and takes a long time to boil. The pans also don’t work very well with the halogen cooker and took ages to get to temperature. We had an issue with the WiFi on the first day, but Stacey was very quick to get it sorted and was always on hand if we needed anything. Other than that, it is a faultless cottage, and we would stay there again. Just be mindful if you are over 5ft 2 As the ceiling height and door frames are Police, they can be a police officer very low! The

Family get together
The cottage was very attractive, clean and comfortable. We booked a 3 night stay for 4 couples over the August Bank Holiday weekend for a family gathering nearby. The location was perfect with the added bonus of the New Inn pub next door who provided us with a delicious meal bank holiday Monday. This was pre-ordered and delivered to the cottage - ideal! A larger kettle in the kitchen would be useful as the current kettle required boiling twice each time we wanted to make 8 hot drinks!

Nice house but garden poor and virtually no wifi/TV
On arrival all of the windows were open, which was we guessed to air it as there was a musty smell. The garden was not in a good condition and had many weeds and the grass was long in most areas except where new seeded areas were. Would not be suitable for children. The house is supposed to suit 9 people, and whilst there were plenty of plates, cups and glasses, there were only two saucepans - one small one for vegetables, and a milk pan. Certainly no where near enough for myself and 4 friends and so not for 9 people! The worst thing was virtually no wifi - which meant no TV. I had to work each morning before we left for our sewing class in Poundbury and found it almost impossible as I could not access my business cloud documents or download emails. The owner sent in someone from the pub next door who after much poking around confirmed that the router was in the pub next door and serviced that and a number of other houses they owned. The property should have its own DEDICATED router/account and not a shared one. It made the week very stressful for me as the speed in the house was less than 5mb - when it worked! Overall the location was nice, quiet and the house great for maximum of 5 people - e.g if 9 people were there and wanted to sit together it would be the floor as the lounge sat 6, and the sun room 4 unless everyone squashed it. It would have been nice to have cushions for the outside table.

Fantastic location for exploring Jurassic coast
Lovely old thatched property , perfect for a girlie weekend away. Beware anyone tall as low beams/ceilings in places. I would thoroughly recommend pre ordering food for the house from the pub next door - very cheap, very generous portions and very delicious. Probably the best cottage pie we’ve ever had!!! Great location being only 10 mins from Weymouth and 20mins to Lulworth Cove. Also it’s worth a stroll through the village as there are some beautiful old properties.

60th Birthday weekend
My Husband loves Dorset, and how better to spend time in this lovely county celebrating his 60th birthday than in this adorable thatched cottage. Full of character yet modern, clean and comfortable. We all loved staying at Yoah Cottage with the added bonus of The new Inn next door. Would highly recommend this accommodation for a break in the country

Dorset Break
The cottage is on a nice location and is spacious. What let it down for us was that it was not very clean. It was dusty, the bathrooms needed a good going over and hair was blow led in the plug holes. What an absolute shame the owners didn’t think to get this sorted, as with a few minor changes it would have scored much higher.

Beautiful, thatched cottage.
The cottage was stunning -perfect English thatched cottage -beautiful and spacious with comfortable beds and we loved watching the sun set over the fields from the back garden. We took our golden doodle dog and went on many walks all around the incredible coast. The pub supplied 2 meals -fish pie and veg curry and both were delicious. A peaceful little village with walks straight from the house too. We hope to return!

Perfect location
I booked this cottage for its location as my son was getting married in Dorchester. We needed enough bedrooms for seven people and it fitted the bill. But it was so much better than its location, beautiful place to stay and the New Inn next door made it for us. The seven of us had dinner on Friday night- fabulous and then the four of us still standing on Sunday the pub welcomed us again. Thoroughly recommend, we all loved it.

We had a wonderful family get together in Yoah Cottage over a long weekend. Other family members stayed in Angel Cottage over the same period. The whole holiday was a great success with Yoah Cottage particularly providing excellent facilities and the perfect layout. A fabulous meal on our last night at The New Inn. Altogether a 5* occasion.
