We enjoyed the rooms and the breakfast was nice. However, we were there on a very hot day until the lack of air conditioning was difficult for us to get a good night sleep. Unfortunately, we are used to air conditioning so this was difficult. The Dyson fans they provided Were helpful, however .

The good points about this hotel, proximity to the train station and being central. Wide selection of food for breakfast, which was included in the price. Staff helpful. Wi-Fi good. Not so good, musty smell in the room. I’d paid extra for economy double, courtyard view is looking at car park rather than street. Was disappointed with the hotel after reading positive reviews was not what I had hoped / expected. Was only there one night.

Close to Dortmund Hbf, located inside walking and friendly staff. Also, if you pay €3, you can use gym Fit/One, 5-min. walk from the hotel. I stayed here for the first time since 2018 but there has been no change and excellent just like before.

The location was wonderful, located in a large pedestrian area. Close to the train station, shops and restaurants. Also the bed was very comfortable, with a nice cozy duvet!

Good location, tight parking.
Excellent location close to train station. Breakfast buffet is good, scrambled eggs a little runny. Elevator very slow. King size bed is comfortable, washroom was a good size. New TVs were installed but the reception was choppy. Parking lot is tight with about a dozen spots.

Ok for a business trip, close to both the railway station and the city center, easy to get a Cab or to reach Dusseldorf airport (slightly larger than Dortmund's). Large rooms, some with a balcony, good+ breakfast.

The Grey Hotel is a pocket gem; very friendly staff, well designed compact clean rooms, top quality buffet breakfast. Very reasonable rates via the usual suspects offers' websites. I wouldn't change a thing.
