Excellent
We were extremely impressed with the friendly efficient staff. The cottage we stayed in was quaint and clean. Well stocked with plenty of rusks and coffee. The cocktails were awesome.Try the Tom Collins Cocktail. Lovely walk trails as well. Then last, but by far not least, the food. I have saved the food for last because It deserves so much praise. The food is not cheap, but oh my word, it is superb. I have yet to be so delighted by my meal at a resort or hotel. Truly the flavors and the quality of food was mind blowing. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was a lovely, tranquil spot to get away for a weekend. The quiet, the active birdlife, the lush surrounding greenery, all made it so relaxing and refreshing. The pool was naturally warm and there were plenty of walking trails just right for some morning exercise. The staff were so warm and friendly, and the food was amazing. Almost everything (including breakfast pastries) are made from scratch on the premises and you could taste the freshness and attention that went into the preparation. We chose this spot because it had accessibility for an elderly person using a walker, so our rooms faced a flat deck. However, there were lovely cabanas nestled in the forest that would have given an extra level of seclusion and naturalness. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, this is well worth a visit!

Whispering pines
The stay was lovely. The food although limited in variety was delicious and well presented. We went as a family with 2 teenagers and as the place is for rest and relaxation we still had a great family time. The cabin needed to be maintained as a few things were broken. Definitely a great place for a weekend away.

Will definitely go there again!
Lovely, quiet hotel (only 15 cottages), lovely setting, close to the Magaliesberg town if one wants to go there, very spacious room with large king-size bed, cottages located quite far apart from each other surrounded by bushes & trees, very good food, excellent, well-trained, well-mannered staff, clean.

Whispering Pines is in a beautiful setting with lovely, friendly staff. And superb food. We will certainly return; that being said improving on a few things will make the stay unforgettable. - the TV was not on the correct setting to watch, and is due for an upgrade, - the air conditioner remote batteries were almost flat, - the swimming pool water was clean but some under water surfaces were not sparkly clean, - the veggie garden is neglected, which would not normally be of concern, but 2 walking trails go right through it, - walking around outside one gets the impression that maintenance and upkeep may be starting to slip. There is definitely not a problem yet, but could be soon if not addressed soon in the new year.
