Absolutely brilliant location
Fantastic hotel with great prices. It’s better to stay here than closer to downtown Dublin since you can just hop on the Tram for 2 euro to get to the shopping district and it’s a 15 minute walk to the Guinness Storehouse and a 5 minute walk to the train station if you have an early train to another city. I’ve stayed here 3 times. I will say 1 of those 3 times my bed was slightly uncomfortable and a little firm.

This is my second stay at this hotel so I can recommend staying here. The only thing lacking in the rooms is a small bar fridge. A extremely convenient location next to Heuston Station where you can board lrains to other cities for one day excursions and tours. . Bus stop steps away for 26 bus and hop on hop off tour buses. The red line LUAS tram also stops at Heuston Station. Just to the west is Ryans Parkgate Restaurant which reputedly has one of the best seafood chowders in Dublin, Nancy Hands Bar & Restaurant and P Duggans bar. To the west is the National Museum of Decorative Arts and History. Two to three tram stops to the west are more pubs and restaurants to explore.

My stay was wonderful! The Ashling Hotel Dublin was very nice and the staff was exceptional! All areas of the hotel I visited were clean and tidy. The food was wonderful and the cheese board, was over the top.
