Central location.

Top floor room was nice and clean. No elevator. The pub next door was friendly and seemed to be busy with bar food at 5.30. Good pint of Guinness. Good location within short walking distance to Trinity and museums. One thing. There is a loud humming during the night of what might be fans or some kind of machine like that. Space ship noise my partner described it as and that may be the easiest thing to call it.

Schmutziges Zimmer über lauter Bar!

Meine beste Freundin und ich haben dieses Zimmer aufgrund denn vielen guteb Bewertungen gebucht. Auf den ersten Blick war alles in Ordnung, die Ausstattung des Zimmers ist okey und die Lage passte auch. Als wir den Zimmerschlüssel in der Bar abholten, wurden wir jedoch das erste Mal entäuscht. Wir wurden kaum begrüsst und über rein gar nichts (Frühstück, W-Lan) informiert. Im Zimmer angekommen mussten wir feststellen, dass das Bad überhaupt nicht gereinigt wurde. Die Dusche, WC und das Lavabo war total verdreckt. Wir haben das Personal daraufhin höflich gebeten, das Bad nachzureinigen. Als wir nach dem Abendessen zurück kamen, war zwar das WC sauber, der Rest war gleich verdreckt wie vorher. An Schlaf war auch nicht zu denken, da bis 24.00 Uhr die laute Musik der Bar zu hören war. Am nächsten Tag wollten wir zeitig frühstücken, da wir tagsüber die Stadt erkunden wollten. Frühstücken war jedoch erst um 09.00 Uhr möglich, da die Bar vorher nicht offen ist. Auf unsere Nachfrage ob das Frühstück wirklich inbegriffen ist, bekamen wir keine Antwort. Das Frühstück hat uns überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Unser Fazit: Wir würden das Hotel nie wieder buchen!!!

Cons: Das WLAN war mühsam, da man in der Regel nur sehr schlechte oder gar keine Verbindung hatte...
Dieses Hotel ist eine gute Adresse, wenn man seine Städteferien in Dublin macht. Der Zugang zu den Zimmern ist in bei einer separaten Türe von Aussen (kodierte Türe) erreichbar. Auch wen das Pub schon um 23:30 Uhr unter der Woche schliesst, so ist ein spätes check-in nach Vorankündigung möglich. Übrigens, der Airlink Bus hält gleich neben dem Pub an der Pearse Street. Das Lombard Pub & Townhouse ist ideal gelegen für Sightseeing in Dublin. Nach einem kurzen Spaziergang von ca. 10 Min. befindet man sich bereits im Temple Bar Bereich. Nur das WLAN war mühsam, da man in der Regel nur sehr schlechte oder gar keine Verbindung hatte...

Typisch Irisch

Wir wollten in ein typisch irisches Pub, was wir hier auch waren. Gemütliche einfache Zimmer. Sehr sauber und freundlich. Kann auch problemlos das Gepäck noch länger dort lassen.
