This home was just what we were looking for
Our group of five travelers needed a place for rest and recuperation for the three days between our participation in the Dublin Choral Festival and subsequent tour of Ireland and our departure for another choir tour of the Baltic states. Our stay in Dundalk was exactly what we needed. The home is comfortable, clean and quiet. Ivor was there to greet us and show us around, and graciously returned when we couldn't figure out how to lock the door. (How many Americans does it take to lock an Irish door?) We gave the washing machine quite a workout while spending companionable time relaxing and playing cards in the spacious kitchen with cups of tea and coffee or, in the evening, enjoying an Irish Mist as a nightcap. Not having a car limited our grocery shopping to the convenience stores we could walk to, but since we really didn't want to cook much that was fine. We loved the local pub -- The Malt House -- where we enjoyed hearty meals and wonderful service.
