Check in efficient and helpful. Main entrance door area dirty and old, badly needs derp clean and paint but reception area ok. Room nicely decorated- single pane windows let toad noise in, needs double glazing. But beds awful, saggy lumpy mattresses, duvet cover open at bottom, pillows small and solid really bad. Noise from adjoing room bathroom late night and early morning. Nice sea view.

beautiful hotel right on the sea front.

Pros: we enjoyed the heated indoor pool, the breakfast was lovely and a huge range of food from fruit to pastries cereals, English cooked breakfast and more

room was gorgeous 4 poster bed was excellent and very comfy to sleep in. we even managed to take our dog. five minuets from shops and restaurants. Beach is stony. but the dog loved it. we were allowed to let her have breakfast with us. the staff couldn't do enough for you they were excellent.

Nice room with kitchen overlooking sea

Pros: The friendliness of staff and the size of the room.

Cons: The breakfast could be better and the swimming pool changing facilities looked at.

Location: The location was ideal being on the seafront and near to the main shopping and restaurant areas.

We had a pleasant stay at York House and our dog was quite comfortable. The breakfast was not the best we have had and the swimming pool was very small. There were no lockers either in the changing rooms which would have been helpful. Overall we were quite happy with our stay.

Great hotel

Pros: Nicely decorated, good size rooms,friendly staff,close to all amenities

Cons: Nothing

Location: Prime seafront position,Pier nearby,Dotto Land Train pick up at Pier,also open top buses at Pier,shops and restaurants nearby

Excellent room with sea view.Staff very friendly and helpful.The breakfasts and evening meal were delicious.Very close to the Royal Hippodrome Theatre where we went to a concert during our stay.This has become our favourite hotel in Eastbourne.We would highly recommend it.Close to all amenities.

Tennis

Visited Eastbourne for Tennis. Decent hotel on the seafront 10 stroll to the Town. All the staff really friendly. Used restaurant for evening meal, very nice allows you to order from the bar menu if different food choice takes your fancy.

Hotel is in a good central position .

Pros: The central location. The staff were very friendly,considerate and helpful.

Cons: The breakfast could have been hotter, but the choice was good. The pool, surrounding area and amenities need to be improved.

Location: Hotel is right on the sea front. Long walks to be had in both directions. The Historic Pier is close by as are the bus stops.

The first night in room 141 was so noisy, not a good position. Very friendly reception staff moved us to another room for the rest of our stay. The staff were very good and helpful.

nice hotel

Fantastic stay breakfast was very good the staff could not be more helpful will be staying again ps only one problem hot shower could not get it right so we had to make do with hot shower but it did not spoil my stay thanks

Spotless room, great price.

Location: Not so much to do in eastbourne but Brighton is only a bus ride away.

Well worth a visit. Clean room comfortable and great value for money. Breakfast a bit pricey!

Good location on the seafront

Pros: Good value considering we were staying at the peak time. Convenient location. Beds were comfortable

Cons: Cleaning - previous guests' rather sticky own toiletries had been left on the bathroom window ledge

Location: Good location on the seafront

We stayed for one night of a two day trip exploring the south coast (Brighton, Seven Sisters, Beechy Head) and this hotel provided a perfectly adequate room for the night.
