I stay at this hotel often when I visit Eau Claire. Normally it’s pretty clean and my stay is uneventful. That was not the case with my recent visit for 2-nights on Thanksgiving day as the room I was staying in had a bug issue, the remote didn’t work, and the heat went. I had to change rooms midway through the stay. The employees who assisted me the day before Thanksgiving and on Thanksgiving Day were extremely nice and helpful. One of them told me she would give me 3,000 points but stated that I should stop by the front desk and talk to the Assistant Manager when I checked out as she would be able to provide additional compensation for my troubles.
During checkout, I asked the employee if she was the manager, and she told me she was the AGM. I asked for her name, and she said it was Lydia. I asked if she had been told about the problems in my room and she very curtly replied yes and stated that 3,000 points were added to my account. I was a little taken back because there was no apology, and she did not seem like she cared. I commented on the fact that she was only offering 3000 points, and she became loud and said well what do you want? She had a major attitude, was not professional and seemed to be angry about something. I asked for my receipt and told her I would write a review about the property. She stated, “you do that”. Having bugs in the room was bad, but the worst part about the experience was interacting with a non-professional employee.
