Fantastic location and very easy to walk to the main attractions of Edinburgh. The castle view from the hotel and the hotel room was stunning. Excellent breakfast and staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a family room with two double beds. The room was nice but is beginning to show its age with slight wear and tear in places. The beds were not the most comfortable with the mattress a bit springy but still decent enough to get a good nights sleep. The pillows were lovely. Bathroom was modern, nice and clean with great amenities. They also have a small pool which we didn’t use but it looked quite nice. Overall a great stay and I would stay again.

Really lovely stay with my mum. Staff on reception couldnt do enough for us. There was just a small issue with breakfast on the first morning but this was quickly resolved by reception. thank you!

A modern, clean hotel. While I had booked rooms with two separate beds, we were surprised that there were two queen beds in the room. The breakfast, which was available at a price, was pretty decent, too. A simple but nice touch was the hotel making mulled wine and mince pies available (for free) at the reception.

Location is paramount! Rooms need improvement. Stains in carpet, drapes and throw cushions, no exhaust fan in bathroom, one towel rack, curtains difficult to open and close, toilets also difficult to flush, step lever for garbage in bathroom broken and although it’s great to have so much breakfast selection, quality isn’t good. It’s as though it’s all precooked…even the eggs.

The staff were very helpful and kind. Our late arrival request was honored no problem. Our room was comfortable and clean with the beautiful view of the castle. The breakfast has a great selection of choices and the staff were friendly. We will definitely stay there again.

Floors are very squeaky- both the hallway and in 2 adjoining rooms they put as in. We didn’t sleep well cuz of the squeaky floors, can be heard when people are walking down the hallway.Castle view room is not worth it, window is small and have to really look up to see the castle. We had complimentary instant coffee which is unexpected from hotels. Tub is too deep, made it too hard for short people to get out from the shower. Hotel is not wheelchair accessible, will have to around the building if you have luggage’s. Seen people struggling to bring down luggages from stairs, none of the staffs lifted a finger to help. Definitely didn’t get a VIP access stay.
