Silver 3 bedroom Caravan located at Seton Sands H

Welcome to Ohana Caravans, By now you will have figured out what Ohana means “Ohana means family, family means no one is left behind or forgotten”. The one thing that means the world to us is our family, we have three beautiful, amazing kids and they absolutely love coming here so we decided to offer other family’s the chance to stay in our home from home to enjoy, relax and unwind. But also make the best memories to last a lifetime.


 This is a brand new adventure we are on so any feedback or advice you have will be greatly appreciated.


 Ohana is a Silver ASD friendly caravan, situated in a beautiful, quiet cul-de-sac up in the Golf Village with partial sea view, with front and side decking. (Side gate can also be locked for wee ones). Ohana has been made up for families and couples wanting a few quiet nights away to relax, have fun and make memories.  So, no Hens or Stags please (sorry this is not a party van).

We also ask that no pets enter Ohana, as a parent with a 1-year-old with skin conditions, this can cause kids skin to have a flare up regardless of how much you try deep clean Ohana I would be devastated if staying here made a child unwell and ruined their holiday. No smoking/ vaping inside Ohana, however smoking/ vaping outside is your decision.


 Please come in, kick off your shoes and treat our Ohana Caravan like home. We do ask out of respect for the caravan but also for our lovely cleaner who keeps our caravan to a very high standard to not check out and leave the place a complete mess. We do not expect you to keep this immaculate as you are on holiday, just putting rubbish in bins, toys away etc as you would normally at home.

Sofa bed (sleeps two) 55” Tv (lounge area), fire stick included with Disney and Netflix.

There are also board games, jigsaws, sensory/ fidget toys, activity books, colouring books, crayons, pencils in both twin bedrooms, the stitch room has a PS4 with some games in the cupboard in between the beds, so please ensure your child is playing one age appropriate. Hopefully this helps keep the kids entertained. We ask that you don’t forget to leave them in Ohana for the next time you come and stay.

 *Please note some board games, toys etc may contains small pieces so please have an adult supervising the kids at all times.*


 Hopefully the sun is shining, and the kids can get out and get some fresh air, there are outdoor toys, games, footballs, and a swing-ball set, 2 x two wheeled scooters, 2 x three wheeled scooters in the garden box outside, have fun!
(Paddle lock key is on the door keys).


We understand that accidents happen especially with kids around with the excitement of being on holiday so don’t be afraid to let us know before you check out. This means we can also let the cleaner know in advance. 


 Check out is 10am, if for any reason you're running late just give me a wee message and al let the cleaner know so yous have time to leave before she arrives. When you are leaving if you could lock the front door, patios doors, garden box and put the key back in the key safe.
 


There are condiments in the kitchen cupboard (salt, pepper, vinegar, sauces) and tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits, are on the serving tray on arrival please help yourself. Next to the sink we have two dispensers, one which contains hand soap (Hands dispenser) and one which contains washing up liquid (Dishes) just incase you need to reuse any plates, bowls, cutlery etc. I have put some dish towels in the kitchen drawer just incase you need them.
(Dishwasher also available to use if you know how to work one)


 The cupboard beside the fridge has a brush, shovel, hoover and mop inside, for those “just incase” moments. I personally know what it’s like having excited kids around. And don’t worry if you have unpacked and your clothes are a little wrinkled, there is also an iron and ironing board inside.


There are also some essentials under the kitchen sink, feel free to use what you need. There is more toilet paper under the kitchen sink also. I have provided toothbrushes (brand new in packaging) with mini toothpastes in the wash bag in the bathroom please feel free to use these if you have forgotten your own. If any toothbrushes are out of the packaging, please bin them and take a brand new one which is in the packaging. In the master bedroom there is a hair dryer in the desk cupboard. Earplugs can also be found in the jar in the master bedroom en suite; however, I genuinely don’t think they will be needed here at Ohana’s Caravan. 


In the bathroom we have hand wash at the sink and shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the dispensers in the shower. (All clearly labelled)
In the master bedroom en suite there is hand soap in the dispenser next to the sink. Hand towels also provided in both the bathroom and the en suite.

On each bed there is a bath towel, a hand towel and a face cloth. The towels for any guests sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room can be found under the master bed. (Ottoman bed). We ask that at the end of your stay if all towels can be placed inside the laundry basket in the master bedroom and our amazing cleaner will do the rest.


 In the living room it has a 55” tv and we have added a fire stick which has Netflix and Disney+ unlocked so feel free to watch your favourite shows.  (Use the Ohana account)


 The master bedroom has a 40” tv fire tv , the stitch room has a 24” smart tv and the angel room also has a 24” smart tv, all with Netflix and Disney unlocked.
 


Over the next few months, we will be adding supplies to Ohana so keep your eyes peeled. 
(More indoor/ outdoor toys, barbecue, sun loungers). We hope this helps our guests when packing so they can take as little as possible.)

There is also a small patio to the left-hand side of Ohana which is available to have a barbecue on, however we ask you not to use a disposable barbecue.

This is a Haven Seton Sands rule, not one made by us.

We understand travelling with a baby/ small children can be challenging with the amount of supplies they need.

If you do have a baby or small infant, then the following can be requested.
 • Travel cot

• Baby Towel

• Baby blankets x 2

• Baby monitor 

• Silver cross clic buggy

• Highchair 

• Teddy/ soft plush / baby toys

Ohana is also ASD friendly and I myself have an autistic daughter so we have some comforts that might help other children settle especially being away from home and change of routine!

The things that we have here that helps her are;

• sensory night lights
• light with ceiling projector 
• black tent with lights to put inside for quiet time
• colourful clock
• dart board with velcro darts and balls 
• visual timetable with velcro cards x 2
• calming chart
• ear defenders x 4
• bubble machine 
• colourful plates, bowls, cutlery (plastic)
• flask, water bottles, cups with lids and straws
• good wifi !!! We have STARLINK !!!

However I know every autistic child is different, but we are always opened to new suggests and ideas which can make Ohana Caravans suitable for more kids with ASD 

There is a mini market onsite should you forget anything that you may have needed which also does hot food. There are a Stitch and an Angel tot bag you can borrow in the kitchen cupboard for heavy things like juice, milk etc. Onsite we have Cook’s (chip shop) which has started delivering to Ohana if you fancy a night in. I have also included in this pack a list of takeaways which my family and I have tried and really enjoyed. They will deliver to the main entrance where security stands and you go down and collect it when it arrives. Perhaps you would like a family meal in Seton Sands restaurant called “The Boatie Blest”, there food is amazing! and the service from the staff is fantastic. You will not be disappointed.


There is also a first aid bag in the living room cupboard, although we hope that this is not needed. 


We do ask for a deposit when booking Ohana Caravans, this is in the event of any breakages, or anything goes missing and cannot be found. We hope you understand.
