We stayed for a couple of nights in December - the 1 bed flat was good overall. One thing we noticed was bin bags full of rubbish left in the lift- they were there every day of our stay, we’d go out and come back with the bin bags still there and smelly. Avoid the lift and use the stairs!

This review could have been more detailed and positive if my request for refund on one night had be prioritized. My travel agent advised, just before we stayed at Spires, that our return air flight had been moved forward by 24 hours. Consequently, our pre-booked stay of 6 nights was shortened to 5 nights. Extensive email communication with Craig Duguid, National Sales Manager, of Spires, followed and at all times he hid behind Terms and Conditions to avoid reimbursement for the lost night of accommodation, effectively condoning corporate theft by taking payment without providing any service. Hence what might have been a more than satisfactory stay and positive review, is now dealt with the indifference that Spires Apartments showed to my request

It was just ok. The studio was small and a bit outdated. I’m not sure if the cleaning wasn’t the greatest or it wasn’t just well maintained, honestly maybe both. Washroom below average too. Location was good and convenient. Staff wasn’t friendly and Don’t even think about early check in, late check out or bag storage… zero chances.

Loved our stay. Beds were comfy and really appreciated how clean it was. It’s in a great location and was easily walkable to restaurants, shops and the train station. We would definitely recommend the property and will stay here again when we return to Edinburgh.

The apartment is very central. Only thing is the night time noise. I was up most of the night because of the music from the club next door which went on until 3am on a Monday night. Room was well equipped. The sofa desperately needs binned it was covered in stains and looked dirty. The carpet also needs a good shampoo or replaced.

The location is fantastic for walking to the castle, Victoria Street, and Rose Street, check in instructions were very clear, but the rooms could be updated, and late night noise can be an issue if you are a light sleeper. The beds we’re comportable, and it was nice to have a two-bed two-bath apartment in such a good location.

This is a very good option to save money in a veryexpensive country while maintaining a very good standard of quality. We were there with our two chipdren and the apartement was large enough with great kit hen and a large bathroom, in addition to asmaller one. TV could be bigger. Well located, walking distance from restaurants, pubs, sights, shoping. The property is older but still fine. Communications with staff could be better about payment mode. Oay attention if you arrive on a Monday

Parking was a fair distance at the Q. Did not find out about the hotel discount until we had already parked. It would have been nice to be advised about that before hand. Overall very happy with location short walk to the castle and Royal mile

Great location- convenient to transportation (3 blocks from the airport tram) and great dining options. Very easy checkin. We loved the washing machine and well-stocked kitchen. Plenty of room and very comfortable beds. We were there for the last weekend of the Fringe so we heard some street noise but that was expected. Very helpful reception staff.
