MOON TIDE: Book a relaxing getaway at our beautiful beachfront home where the sounds of the ocean will soothe your soul. Enjoy dolphin watching from our covered porch and rooftop deck. Lounge on the beach - just a few steps away - or explore Edisto Island. This safe, family-friendly, off the beaten path beach town is truly a hidden gem waiting to be discovered!

THE SPACE: Moon Tide was designed by a local architect to be the perfect beach house for large families, extended families, or multiple families. There are plenty of areas for groups to collect or separate as desired. The home consists of 5bdr, 5.5bth, 2 common areas, 1 loft, a covered porch, sun deck, & an open concept kitchen.

THE LOCATION: Moon Tide is the northernmost beachfront house on Edisto and has one of the best views on the island, particularly towards Botany Bay. It is close to several restaurants, the island grocery store, and local service station. It is also within close walking distance of several shops.

IMPORTANT:

LINENS: The master suites are fully made up for your arrival. Bundled linens are provided for bunks and sofa beds unless otherwise requested.

TURTLES: If you're staying between May 1 - Oct 31, help our sea turtles have a safe, successful nesting season by closing drapes/blinds in the evening on windows visible from the beach. Doing so will help you avoid a steep fine from the Town of Edisto.

EVENTS: We allow family celebrations that do not exceed house occupancy (18). Please respect Edisto's quiet hours (10pm-7am) and note that post-event cleanup is mandatory. Failure to do so will result in additional cleaning fees.

PLEASE NOTE: There are exterior cameras at the front and back of the home. We respect your privacy & do not monitor them during your stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! This was such a comfortable and well-appointed place to enjoy a relaxing vacation. It truly felt like everything we needed was right at our fingertips—no need to bring all the usual extras. The location is unbeatable: grocery stores and restaurants are just a short walk away, and the beach is literally right out the back door. The views are stunning at all times of day, in any weather. Thoughtful touches like linens, plenty of towels, basic condiments, and more really set this rental apart from others in the area. And yes—those cookies were a perfect welcome treat! Adult and kid approved

Christmas getaway!
We traveled with family to Edisto for a Christmas getaway. The property is beautiful and just as described. It suited our group perfectly..an elevator for those that need it, pet friendly, and right on the beach! We hunted for shells each morning, watched dolphins from the house, and explored the area. Our trip was great and we would definitely stay here again! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Mini College Reunion
This was the perfect home and location for 15 74-yr. old women to gather for an extended weekend of catching up with each other's live and families. College friends for 56 years, this was the first time we were all under one roof together since we graduated. We hold reunions every 2-3 years, but typically we stay in hotels. It was GRAND to be able to take beach walks, move from porch to porch, and cook together in the very well equipped kitchen.

Amazing House!
Our only complaint about this vacation is that it wasn't long enough! The house is in an amazing location and was stocked more than any other vacation rental I've ever stayed in. They even had an automatic water bowl for our dog. If you're considering a stay on Edisto Beach, this is the house for you! We will be going back!

This house was so well equipped and the welcome was warm and personal! We had some questions and one problem-all were addressed immediately and with warmth. The views were fabulous, from the upper deck and the porch. It accommodated our family with an infant and an 87 year old! We definitely would recommend this house!

First time and we LOVE IT!
This was our first stay at Moon Tide and we loved it. Gorgeous house and furnishings. Fantastic view. We had 13 people, 3 of whom were senior citizens, 2 teens, and the rest were adults 21 to 50+. We all were happy. Even with some minor problems with the elevator adjustments were made and we did fine. Only suggestion would be that sometime in the future handy cap bars be added to the shower in the king bedroom shower on the main floor and also to the queen shower on 1st floor. We already have made our reservation for the same week next year.

Perfect Rental!
This home has everything you need. Coffee, waters, snacks, beach chairs, plenty of toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. It is very clean and well appointed. Plentiful games, sunscreen and beach towels. There is even an ez up to use on the beach. Moontide is right next to the pier and across the street from the grocery and within walking distance of at least 5 restaurants! Communication was great and check in was a breeze. Great layout with a wonderful covered porch and a second open air porch. Plenty of room for a crowd but cozy enough for a few. I have rented in Edisto since 1982. I’m used to having to buy or bring the basics. Not necessary at Moontide. It’s like renting from a friend. This is one of the best equipped homes we have rented Thank you.

Spacious with a great porch
We had a group of eleven women in the house… lots of places to sleep, shower, visit. Kitchen and living are spacious… it rained Saturday but we didn’t feel cramped. Porch is amazing!

Great beach house
We had a great time at the Moon Tide. This place could easily house 3 families. We only had our family but had plenty of room. The elevator was convenient. I had a little trouble trying to get in because it was dark when we arrived but I figured it out. Being on the beach was awesome! I guess the only downside was the public parking is next door but not that big of a deal as we were off season and not as many people on the beach. I would stay again and bring 2 more families. Coffee shop in walking distance and enough good restaurants on the beach. The restaurant at the marina was fantastic. Thanks!

Perfect beach house
The house is the first one in Edisto on the beach. Check in process was simple. House has ample room to spread out and views of the beach from most rooms. It is loaded with towels, spices in the kitchen , and even cookies. It was convenient being able to walk to the grocery store and restaurants. Highly recommend

Awesome stay!
Moon Tide was so nice! One of our favorite houses yet!! The location was perfect for us. We were able to find amazing shells right in front of the house and we enjoyed the restaurant/bar “Coots”next door. The host was so thoughtful to leave us some cookies, waters, coffee and other treats to enjoy during our stay. The bed was comfy, towels were nice, everything was clean, and the dogs enjoyed their stay too! The fenced in sand box was perfect for them and it was great to have sofa protectors provided. We loved having an elevator to help get everything inside the house with ease. We had one issue but Andrea quickly responded and it was no problem. We would love to come back again and bring the rest of our family!! There are plenty of bedrooms to fit the rest of our loved ones. The house had everything we needed and more. Thank you!!

Love Edisto!
Great location. Easy walk to grocery store, bar and grill, gas station. Many many extras (games, kitchen items, toys, blankets, books and videos). Great floor plan for families and privacy. A stones throw to the beach. Simple check in. Elevator helpful and in good working condition. Weather was cold and rainy but we had a wonderful time celebrating birthdays! Love Edisto Beach.

Exceeded Expectations
The location was incredibly convenient with a grocery store and restaurants across the street. The home was in extremely clean despite being oceanfront - the views were killer from every room. But best of all were the super thoughtful owners who left treats for young (cookies and cereal) and old (coffee and all the spices needed to cook an amazing family meal). We hope to come back again soon.

A VERY Merry Christmas!
Our stay was spectacular! The house is so beautiful and clean. The location is perfect! We love to cook. There were all kinds of spices, oils, flour, baking soda and powder. Plenty of paper products, coffee, tea, and beer! The house has everything, and if not enough, there is a convenience store and Food Lion right across the street! Sunrises, sunsets...I could go on and on. We travel and rent a lot...this place is special. Book it! You will not be disappointed. Thank you for a time and memories we will never forget.

This House Has EVERYTHING!
The house was huge with plenty of living spaces and bathrooms. The house was clean. The house also has absolutely everything including bottled water, beer, snacks, cereal, coffee, and delicious cookies left for us for our stay along with a personalized note. The location could not be better -- near Coots, Food Lion, the gas station, state park and more. Communication with the host was on point every time. One suggestion -- you need a new can opener -- and if that's the biggest problem we had then it was an exceptional stay. Thank you! We will be back.
