Cozy country house with private closed garden

Welcome to our country house! It is situated just one hour (90km) from Paris (or 40 minutes from CDG) in the middle of a small and calm village surrounded by a lovely forest and picturesque crop fields. It's an ideal house for family gatherings, catching up with friends, use as a base to discover the area around (trekking, cycling, horse riding...) or just escape the city and relax close to nature. Please note parties & noisy gatherings are not welcome...

The house is close to Paris between the regions of Oise and Picardie in the middle of a small and picturesque village called Emeville. It is surrounded by nature and it is ideal for family gatherings, catching up with friends, use as a base to discover the area around (trekking, cycling, horse riding...) or just escape from the city and relax.
It is a cottage house constructed in 1850 and has been fully renovated, it is fully equipped with probably all you might need to enjoy your stay; all you have to bring is your personal affairs! The house also has a 2Gbps fiber optic internet connection with excellent Wi-Fi mesh coverage throughout the house and most of the garden.
At the ground floor you will find: entrance, kitchen/dining room (fully equipped), lounge (with fireplace), living room (with a home theater and a work space), bathroom and WC. At the first floor there are five bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower (attention: there is no second WC on the first floor). There is a big private garden (aprox. 1300 sq.m) in front of the house and you will have access to all the garden furniture, barbeque, and other outdoor equipment. The house is also pet-friendly (but please let us know beforehand). If you have any questions or have any specific requests regarding your stay, please feel free to ask! You will have access to the main living areas of the house. Nevertheless, there are a few spaces that are off limits: a garage, boiler room, a couple of closets, a few drawers... the rule is simple: if something is locked you do not open it, the rest of the house is yours! (within reason please)
During your visit I am probably not going to be around but my neighbors will be aware and could intervene if needed. Obviously I am always available over the phone, WhatApp, messenger, AirBnb.... to answer any questions you might have.
The region:
The house is situated in the middle of a calm village of Picardie called Emeville. From the north, the village is surrounded by a forest and to the south it is surrounded by crop fields. It is a small village of approximately 300 residents, there is a town hall (and an events space), primary school, park for children and church.
From Emeville you can easily visit: Pierrefonds, Compiègne, Senlis, Chantilly... The theme parks "La Mer de Sable" and "Parc Astérix" are a 30 minute drive from the house; “Disneyland Paris” is about 1 hour drive from the house. Activities in the area include, but are not limited to, walk/trekking in the forest, picturesque cycling routes (both road and forest paths), visiting farms, horse-riding, exploring the castles and mansions of the area... A dossier (always work in progress) will be waiting for you with details at the house, as well as maps and other activities and sightseeing suggestions.

Great Location Close to Campus
Location is great and close to campus. The place was clean but the beds are vary hard. It would have also been helpful for them to have a welcome book or something in the apartment to help guests with additional information - such as wifi, tv, check out, etc. We could have also used a trash bag in the kitchen garbage.

Maison très agréable et grand jardin verdoyant.
Maison très chaleureuse avec tout le matériel. Vaste jardin très verdoyant. Le propriétaire est vraiment disponible et sympathique. Nous avons passé un super séjour en famille sur 3 jours et sommes restés sur place entre jeux, discussion et barbecue.
