The Space:
The Ephraim House has many amenities to please! A stone fireplace graces the open-concept living area, where there are comfortable arrangements to relax in front of a cozy fire. The large professional chef's kitchen has everything your group will need to prepare meals during your stay, including a stocked coffee station. There is a large dining table which has seating for eight, and a 12 foot kitchen island with plenty of seating for gathering and meals. A large raised deck, accessible from the living area and master bedroom is perfect for relaxing while enjoying a sunset in the privacy of the surrounding cedar forest.
On the first / main level there are 3 bedrooms, including a master bedroom with king bed and luxury spa bathroom and large walk-in closet. There are also two queen bedrooms located on the main floor.
A laundry room with brand new high capacity front load washer and dryer are provided for guests along with starter pack of laundry tabs and dryer sheets. You will also find an ironing board, iron and steamer for your linen care needs.
The lower level features a gathering place paradise, including a large 65" UHD 4K TV, video games (Xbox One, and Wii), board games, DVDs, and more! From the lower level family room, you can step out to the patio and fire pit, where guests can enjoy an evening campfire, or barbecue using either a charcoal or gas grill.
There are two bedrooms located on the lower level - a king suite, and a bunk room featuring two full-over-full bunks with twin trundle beds.
We provide 4 adult bicycles for guests to use during their stay, so feel free to explore the Door Peninsula on two wheels!
Supplies:
At The Ephraim House, we like to provide our guests with some useful supplies as a starter pack, which you can use during your stay. If you run out, please buy additional for the remainder of your stay.
- We’ve provided dish soap and dishwasher tabs for your use.
- We’ve provided laundry pods and fabric softener for your use.
- We’ve provided a starter pack of Keurig coffee K-cups, tea bags, sugar / sugar substitute, and creamer for your use.
- We’ve provided a gas grill and a charcoal grill for your use during your stay. Charcoal is not provided.
The Area:
Peninsula State Park is approximately 1 mile from The Ephraim House, where guests can golf, hike, swim, bike, and attend a show at the Norther Sky Theater in the summer months.
The Ephraim Marina is located two blocks from The Ephraim House. Guests who travel with their boat can easily launch their watercraft from the marina to enjoy the waters of Door County during their stay. There are also pontoon rentals available from the marina in Ephraim, so consider a sunset cruise or a day on the water during your stay!
Ephraim boasts excellent dining options for all traveler tastes. Guest of The Ephraim House will be amazed at the walkable options for wine & beverages (Pearl Wine Cottage and Bad Moravian), Meals (Chef's Hat, Old Post Office, and Trixie's), and of course, desert (Wilson's Ice Cream Parlor). We would be happy to provide you with a few of our favorite recommendations for all of the available options to suit your needs during your stay!
Wi-Fi and Televisions:
The Ephraim House offers free high speed Wi-Fi internet access for all guests. The 400 Mbps Wi-Fi supports fast streaming and internet throughout the house, so all guests can remain connected without any internet or streaming disruptions.
Smart Televisions are provided for guest viewing. 55" 4k UHD TVs are located in the main living area and main floor master bedroom. A 65" 4k UHD TV is mounted in the lower level living area. Guests are welcome to login to their own streaming services during their stay (e.g., Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Disney+).
When you arrive:
When guests of the Ephraim House pull into the secluded drive, they will immediately feel the relaxation start to set in, just as travelers to Door County have felt for the past century. This is not your ordinary Door County cottage, however. Custom built with multi-generational gatherings in mind, The Ephraim House will surprise and delight even the most discerning travelers. Guests will have a contactless check-in, and will have access to both the two car garage, and covered front porch entry doors with unique wi-fi enabled garage door and locks.
There is complementary indoor garage parking for two vehicles, and plenty of outdoor parking for another 4-5 vehicles outside the garage. Street parking is not permitted.

Ephraim is centrally located within Door County on the waterfront of Green Bay's Eagle Harbor and is just minutes from all the Peninsula has to offer.
The Ephraim House is two blocks from the waterfront in Ephraim, allowing guests easy access to the beach, shops, galleries and restaurants of Ephraim, all within walking distance.
The picturesque Village of Ephraim is nestled in the heart of the Door County Peninsula. Settled in 1853 by Norwegian Moravians on the tranquil shores of Eagle Harbor, Ephraim takes pride in its Scandinavian roots. Ephraim’s rich heritage has been carefully preserved in more than 30 historical sites throughout the village, 11 on the National Register of Historic Places. Our home is centrally located in Ephraim, Wisconsin, in the heart of Door County! Most of Ephraim's restaurants, shops, and galleries are just a short walk from our home. Door County is a 70 mile long peninsula located between Green Bay and Lake Michigan. It is comprised of dozens of quaint cities, towns and villages, each with their own distinct look and feel. The Door Peninsula is easily accessible by car, boat, and even airplane (the local Ephraim-Gibraltar airport is located 1 mile from our home)! We provide ample parking, including room to park a boat for those who will be utilizing the Firehouse Marina and Ephraim Municipal Dock and boat launch (just blocks from The Ephraim House) to fish or explore Door County's waters. We also provide 4 bicycles for guests to use to explore the local community at a slower pace.
