This is a motel- the pictures might make it look trendy because it has been slightly remodeled, but this is a motel. Check-in was at 4 pm. I received THREE separate messages ensuring that I knew it was at 4 pm. We arrived at 3:50 pm and were told our room wouldn’t be ready for another 40-45 mins- we got to our room at 4:48, meaning it took an entire hour. We were given a complimentary breakfast at their nearby sister hotel as an apology. The doors to the rooms lead directly outside, meaning if we wanted to lay in bed and look at the view of the mountains, we also had to watch other guests walking by and looking in our window. I have never stayed in a hotel or air bnb with no hair dryer- they didn’t have one. The water in the shower had to run for 7-8 full minutes to get hot. The internet on the tv didn’t work, which meant no Netflix or prime video as advertised. When we went to check out at 6:50 am, there was no one at the front desk or anywhere around the lobby and the lights were off with a locked door (despite them claiming they serve breakfast beginning at 7 am). We waited until 7:05 am, and because the lights were still off and no one was there, we had to leave without checking out to not risk missing our flight home. We tried calling the phone number to let them know we’d like to check out, but it was an automated menu and not a real person. Only positive was the proximity to shops and RMNP, which many other places nearby have. I do not recommend this hotel.

It was fine, but with so many options in Estes Park, I also don't see a reason to go back. I feel like the "vibe" is meant to distract from the landlord special paint job, weird stains on the ceiling, mold in the bathroom, and paper thin walls/ceiling. Two properties with the same name also makes navigating a little confusing. Tried to check into the other Trailborn first.

While the bed was very comfy & the location was decent, only stay here if you want to be woken up by other folks going between their hotel room & cars starting at 3am… There is very minimal sound barrier so you’ll hear every door slam, car beep, conversation, etc. We stayed for two nights & felt like zombies by the time we got home. Good option if you’ll be waking up very early for your adventures.

First of all and check in, we couldn’t get in our room because the computers were down. This was understandable however, from that on it was downhill. The first morning the office was closed when they advertised breakfast so he went somewhere else at great expense for our morning meal. The same thing happened the second day so packed the car and when finished he was open, they advertise yogurt, yogurt, granola ,pastries and coffee they had no yogurt and no milk. When I asked the front desk, he said what you say is what you get! The property is very old and terribly rundown on the exterior and was a safety hazard for anyone with mobility issues because the handrails were not continuous in some areas, the stairs and porches were an absolute mess and when you stepped off of the last stoop into the parking lot You are right on a parking block. Lastly, I got a message from the facility stating I had a price change which was $110 less than I paid you for this room when ask about it he said you’ll have to take it up with your third-party which I am doing now and I’m asking for a refund to my account for this difference. I could never recommend this facility for some of us mobility issues and about anyone else that was concerned about safety and overall cleanliness. I will think seriously about booking again with this many discrepancies from the description provided before I booked a room with you.

Within walking distance to downtown. During our stay we had to ask for toilet paper and wash cloths. Also the parking was not good. Not enough spaces. One night we came in and there were no spots left, we were told to park in the back (our room was in the front) there was 1 spot left and one of the cars had parked across the line and our Tahoe would not fit in space. Manager had to move her car in order for us to have a place to park.

Just your average hotel. Breakfast was a status quo. Muffins and yogurt granola mix in . Staff seem to be shorthanded most of the time . That being said, the staff was all friendly though . Location was very convenient .

Quirky place

Room layout was very strange. There were no chairs and no desk. Just a bench that could sit three people and didn't face the TV. There were also no towel rods anywhere near the sink. Parking was very tight in the back and the exit onto the street was steep. There was almost no place to sit for the continental breakfast and we would have preferred some hot options.

Sadly very dirty.

Had higher hopes for the property. Check in person was nice, but said she didn’t have access tonthe computer, so we had extra steps to check in. Biggest issue was room was extremely dirty, including dog hair and human hair, and areas of the bathroom had mold. They have spent time and money on branded amenities, and tendy looking decor in the spirit of redurbed motels, but need to spend more on cleaning and mold prevention.

For the price of these rooms we had expected a lot more. The door to our room didnt hang properly and had to be slammed to get it to close. Even in an end room, the walls are paper thin and noise kept us up. Its also disappointing the outpost is so far away from the Trailborn with amenities. There is truly nothing around. Its exciting to see an old motel be rennovated and brought back to life, but I think the prices are much too expensive comoared to other options in the area.

Cute stay! Pillows not comfy

This hotel is nicely updated and much fresher feeling than the other motel type stays in the area. Unfortunately the pillows on the bed weren’t comfortable which impacted my sleep a lot (bummer!) - they were just too thick. The rooms near the stairwells could have better seals around the doors for soundproofing but with a bit of white noise sound was not a problem.
