Amazing experience from start to finish! We loved being able to explore this incredible historical landmark while enjoying the good amenities and local attractions. The lounge was a fun place for a drink, live music, and dancing after a day of exploring nearby! The only thing that wasn’t up to the same level as everything else was the buffet breakfast. Everything else about the hotel is really quite delightful but the breakfast buffet lacked options and there was nothing provided that was particularly nutritious (there were a lot of bakery items but very few protein-based items). Other than that, it was a very enjoyable stay!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
This is a Historic Site and as such it has many fascinating aspects, but as a modern hotel it is severely lacking. No air conditioning-we had to request a fan for our room to take the edge off of the heat. The fan we received was a very small portable unit that was marginally acceptable. As an old property, it is not close to ADA accessible-front entry steps and steep front driveway were a challenge for us. The staff were nice, but it was difficult to get the feel of this town without a restaurant available in the hotel to get help in talking about their area.
Well worth paying a little extra to stay here for the rich over 100 years of history. Rooms are stylish with nice furniture. If you need housekeeping you must ask despite the sign in the bathroom that indicated clean sheets and towels daily unless you put the do not disturb sign up. Very unfortunate that the bar and restaurant are still not open as they are both beautiful and were at one time top destinations in Eureka even if you weren't staying at the Inn. Over all really enjoyed our stay.
All the charm of a funeral home. Clean but creepy. No AC. Single pane windows do little to keep out road noise. Restaurant open only a few days a week. Dodgy neighbourhood.
Sweet place to stay. We were visiting the Redwoods and the we took a chance at staying in Eureka. I would stay at the the Eureka Inn again. Pleasant people.
This property was unique and super cool. It was built in 1922 and had incredible historical detailing. The walls were thin and we had loud neighbors but that was to no fault of the hotel.
The building is beautiful. Lots of history and the decor in the lobby is fantastic. The service was ok. A little slow 2/3 times I had to go up to the desk but the staff was very kind. Although it’s a historical site, the place feels dated and a little unclean. The bathroom smelled of old water, my comforter had a small stain, no AC. The WiFi didn’t work whatsoever in my room. Luckily I didn’t have to login for any work things but if so, I would have probably had to move to another location. The tv didn’t work because there was no WiFi. If you are there to truly disconnect, it’s great. But still one of the better accommodations in Eureka.
The property was beautiful. Decent pool. Decor is so reminiscent of the hotel from the Shining..but in a good way! Really cool stay. Clean rooms, comfy beds. Area is run down but they
Lock the parking lot for safety overnight. Overall we had a fine stay.
