Budget Hotel by the river Avon

Pros: Just across from the river with lovely walks.
Cons: mattresses.
Location: Evesham is not what it used to be with lots of shops closing and generally going downhill. Good central location for touring.
Stayed in a family room (2 singles and 1 double bed). Room and bathroom clean and basic; perfectly adequate for overnight stay. Only complaint being the mattresses were very uncomfortable and had to resort to using the duvet as mattress topper. Breakfast was perfectly adequate and the staff helpful. The "pub" in the grounds of the hotel was not a good experience. More as one would imagine an old fashioned working men's club with no ambience.

Nice hotel but not clean room

The hotel was lovely and we had a nice room overlooking the river. The breakfast room and downstairs toilets were very clean and the reception was inviting. However, our room was not clean, the lamps were all dusty and there was a small bit of mould on the wall. The bed cover was ripped and the shower had dirt on the screen door which hadn't been cleaned. I did enjoy our stay and liked the hotel I just thought the rooms could be cleaner like the downstairs of the hotel.

Hotel and surroundings good

Hotel (both bars) nice. Outside private play area great. Staff fantastic. Area good although locals outweighed by others
