A really friendly reception for me and my dog. Great breakfasts. The hotel is clearly a bit tired in places and perhaps a "work very much in progress", but it is very clean, convenient and good value for money. Dining and bar areas really nice, less so my actual room which needs updating. Heating timings very odd: too hot at 11pm and cold at 8am! I didn't know until I arrived that the dinner options are not available out of season.

Really lovely staff ,great value for money, Whenwe first arrived the lady at the reception was very professional and good at her Job. Breakfast was very good and hot 🔥 The Dinning room was lovely and clean .our room was excellent (room 201) best view of any U.k.Hotel, The sad bit was ,we had to come home , we only had 1 night this was due to work But we will.be back Kind regards John Evans A.I.H and Jane Evans

Lovely hotel dated in areas but being refurbished otherwise we had a great three days, staff were brilliant couldn’t do enough for us , the food was excellent both breakfast and 3course evening meal and so many options on both also a well stocked bar

I’m really conflicted about this review! It’s a total game of 2 halves at this hotel. The staff are fantastic. The breakfast was great. The ‘public spaces’ ie lounge and dining room are modern and clean and well decorated. Great sea view and location. But then our room was the complete opposite. Really bare and basic - damp smell in the room and damp patches on wall/ceiling with rotten wood windows, bare bathroom, tattered bath mat, threadbare curtains and tatty furniture. To the point where I genuinely wondered if we had somehow been shoved into a generally unused attic room were it not for the fact that I booked it 4 months ago for a wedding and paid a price that I’ve paid at other hotels ie not below the odds by any means! So I wouldn’t stay here again because of the room (luckily we barely spent any time in it because of the wedding) but I feel bad writing this because the staff were so great!

The bedroom was very small and also the bathroom, considering it was a sea view room. The hot water gets scolding hot and no warning of this. The good points are easy parking and lovely breakfast.

The location is great with free parking , staff were friendly enough the decor down stair in the guest areas was good and looked fresh, our room needed some attention ,loose fittings, old furniture, and not the best door lock i have ever seen on a hotel door . Being an attic room the walls were thin , the view was very good and the bed was comfortable. If you can look past the tiredness then under that is a good hotel

The hotel is ok it is dated but well maintained in the main. I had no issues except the TV was missing its coax cable. Hotel was busy with coach group . I only ate breakfast which was standard and ok reasonable selection of usual breakfast items no continental breakfast items though. Reasonable value for money.

This is a great hotel, made all the more enjoyable by the owner who is witty, friendly and knowledgeable…..a nice bloke indeed. Great views, tasteful decor and relevant hanging art, clean linen and comfy beds, and a breakfast that sets you up for the day. Very good value for money hotel and I really enjoyed my stay there. One tip for guests….. when the hotel is full and everyone is getting up, your shower may suddenly dry up, so be creative with off peak showering and enjoy an uninterrupted soaking. I believe this hotel is underpriced. It’s definitely worth a visit!!
