Wonderful stay at the Hotel de la Ville!

After looking at all the options, we decided on a short break to Florence ..... we weren't disappointed! The Hotel de la Ville was a joy ...helpful, friendly and efficient staff .... all of whom spoke fluent English. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean with bed linen and towels being changed daily, very comfortable large bed for the two of us and very quiet. The only thing we could have done with was a facility in the room to make tea and coffee. But there was a very large bar/lounge area with a gas log fire which was lovely to sit beside ....also between 6 and 7 plenty of free nibbles with drinks ....we met interesting people .... tea, coffee and light snacks were also served there. Florence is a beautiful city and November was a good time to visit as a tourist .....we were lucky with weather ...cold with clear blue skies ....so much to see and do ....definitely will go back to the same hotel which was situated in the centre .... on a very upmarket shopping street .... very quiet in the evenings with no traffic. We walked everywhere ....a very easy city to get around by foot. All in all ..... bellissimo!!

Obwohl es warm war, lief dennoch die Heizung, die wir nicht ausschalten konnten. Weiter lief die Klimaanlage nicht. Wir mussten mit offenem Fenster schlafen, um angenehme Luft zu atmen.

das Hotel liegt ganz einfach perfekt somit für jede Richtung die man gehen will ein toller Ausgangsort. Personal super freundlich, die Betten hervorragend. wir kommen mit Sicherheit gerne wieder

Schönes Hotel, unweit vom Dom und Hauptbahnhof gelegen. Ist zu Fuss schnell an den schönsten Plätzen vom Florenz.
