The best thing about the property is its large terraces and that it is right on the river. It’s also next to the US Embassy so there is plenty of security.

Room is small. Slightly larger than a closet and I've stayed in plenty of European hotels. Needed to go through a rainy courtyard to get to our room. Not a place for people with problems with stairs. This hotel is overpriced even by Florence standards. I would never stay here again. Internet is hard to log into and hardly any plugs to charge phones or tablets.

Deceptive marketing. We booked a premium river view room shown on the hotels.com site. With a terrace. We got a tiny room with a terrace. Not at all what was pictured. The hotel staff said it was an issue. Otherwise great staff and location away from the touristy area but walking distance to everything. Right next to American consulate.

Staff was welcoming and very helpful Our first room had a nice terrace. Room was tastefully decorated and had a very nice espresso machine. The terrace could use a bit more decore to make it more charming but we were happy to have it. We didn't mind the walk to the center of town. We would stay again.
