This is a glorified hostel and I would not recommend a stay here. The building smells and they try to mask the smell with perfumed air. It’s such a strong scent that I started to swell in the face and was sneezing non-stop. It was extremely challenging to have a good night rest with the perfumed air. We also did not have hot water for 2 days of my stay. The staff didn’t even notify the guests. Completely unacceptable customer experience- at a minimum notify your guests if the building has issues that you are aware of and trying to fix or manage. A hotel without running hot water is completely outrageous and even more appalling that the guests have to find out by trying to take a shower and not being notified in advance. The rooms were clean, but the hotel does not provide irons, slippers, coffee machine or drinking water for the guests. 1 iron can be shared by all guests located in one room on a specific floor. For coffee, tea, slippers, water bottles etc there’s a vending machine. This hotel is like flying spirit airlines- you have to pay every step of the way for basic items that typically come standard with other hotels.

This new property is fantastic in the area of service as the checkin area also serves coffee and drinks at night and food is available. The staff is knowledgeable and very attentive to the needs of the hotel guests. The breakfast provided was very good. Hotel is trying to be very “green” but strangely no electrical outlets are available in the bathroom for a hair dryer. On the downside the location is a long walk to the central area, the construction outside the hotel is an inconvenience, and the number of homeless people sleeping in the doorways next to the hotel are a concern late at night.

We had an amazing stay at Ruby Bea. The property is incredibly clean and modern with the cutest bar at the ground level. The staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to offer restaurant recommendations and schedule our 4am shuttle. We also loved that the front desk was staffed 24/7. The location is slightly further away, but still within a 15-minute straight shot walk to the duomo (which is where a lot of attractions are). We’d highly recommend this hotel and would stay again next time.

The hotel was lovely with friendly and attentive staff. However the bathroom setup leaves very little to the imagination when sharing a room with a friend or relative. Could some frosted glass please be installed for privacy of guests for the future?

Fancy hotel and that’s about it.
This is a new hotel just outside the city center. We did not have a hot water for the last two days of our stay, the explanation was because it’s a new hotel there often problems. If you’re going to open a new hotel, you better be sure to make sure everything works. we end up paying the same price whether it is working or not, which is an explanation I should’ve given, maybe we should’ve gotten a discount. There was no creamer in the “galleys” And I was told that you could not find creamer anywhere in Italy. What a joke, every hotel that we have stayed in has creamer. Everyone was very nice, but that doesn’t excuse the poor experience overall. This is one of those fancy hotels with crap amenities. Spend your money elsewhere.

Excellent location, all walking distance to the cathedral and square. Easy access to and from the train station. Saved us a lot of time in transit. Hotel is quite new with nice decor. AC is strong. The only negative part is there is no mini fridge in the room. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Go green and they will reward you with a free drink.

Ruby Bea Fab!
The Ruby Bea didnt disappoint. Once again we experienced the fab service, and great chilled vibe of the Ruby hotel chain. When the new tram line is completed in early September this will be a great place to stay, just outside the main area but on a direct tram line in...walking took us about 15 minutes to the Duomo. Nice little outside terrace and clean crisp Ruby rooms with my favourite Ruby hand wash..and the free drink instead of a room clean gets my eco vote...we will definitely be back!
