With a KING bed in the master, a queen in the full-size guest bedroom, two bunk beds in the hallway AND a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room, unit 501 Pelican Isle comfortably sleeps 8 guests and has views that will simply take your breath away.

The unit is the largest floor plan in Pelican Isle in Ft Walton Beach on Okaloosa Island and is an *END UNIT* with lots of light and a view from each room. Being at the EAST end of the 5th floor, this unit is not over the pool so you do not have to worry about any noisy games or activities at the pool area interrupting your quiet times on your private Gulf front balcony. Rest assured when you rent PI 501 your morning coffee and afternoon beverages will be enjoyed in total calmness and you won't experience this tranquility from just anywhere on the Gulf!! Panoramic views of the white-sand beach and emerald green waters encompass you throughout this unit from the numerous windows and balcony accesses. The living room has two sliding glass doors that open to a wraparound deck. Master bedroom has king-size bed with a balcony with a Gulf view and private bathroom.

Our unit stopped working the day we arrived and the temp got up to 86 through the night and most of the next day. The mattress on the king size bed was horrible. It was hard and very uncomfortable. Not enough seating in the living room. The couch in the living room is cloth and dirty. We put down a blanket to sit on. The floors were nasty! Our feet were black if we didn't wear our shoes. It was a little frustrating keeping up with different codes for different doors throughout the facility. Our code to our room stopped working about 3 days in and we had to wait about half a day for someone to come out to fix it, which meant at least one person had to stay in the room and then we were given a different code. The room sizes were great, great view, nice kitchen. The rent was way too much for what it was but we booked last minute and did not have very many options.

Loved our stay. The weather wasn’t that great and riptides were bad but still managed to have a great time. The condo met all our expectations. We ran into the owner as we were leaving and expressed our minor concerns with her and our pleasure with the accommodations.

Great quiet location and very clean
We’ve visited several panhandle areas over the years and Fort Walton/Destin was by far the best. Fort Walton in particular the strip with condos is a dead end so the traffic and noise is low. Pelican Isle was by far the cleanest most well kept condo building of all. The grounds and building maintenance was impeccable. They have a pet waste station that was very handy for my service dog. The beach was pristine and he beach staff attentive. Unit 501 had a great view. The balcony furniture was comfortable and clean. We slept in the queen bed room which was the most comfortable ever. The other couple said the king master was very hard. Water pressure in shower was good. Only had large towels (no hand clothes) which we thought was odd but then the small ones usually get the eye makeup on them. Floors were very clean (no sand or residue) Kitchen was stocked. A little unorganized. Plenty of skilllets but only one pot. The living room TV was a Samsung and the channels were unfamiliar. We were able to cast an iPad. Bedroom TVs were smarter. Overall great experience and would stay there again.

Excellent location to the beach, the place was very clean. Shops very close, both for food and to buy souvenirs, 10 minutes from Destin beach, although this beach does not ask for anything, it is much more private.

Great condo, perfect location
Our family for this trip consisted of eight people. Ages from 4 to 37. We love staying at Pelican Isle Resort. We've stayed there before but not in this particular condo. This was a nice spacious 2 bedroom condo. The bedrooms were very large, the kitchen area was also larger than some others. The unit was clean upon arrival. Great balcony since it is a corner unit. Only complaint for that was I hadn't considered we were the corner where the sun came up, it was rather bright really early in the mornings so no one slept in but that just meant more beach time! Kitchen is a little understocked. Only a handful of pots and no medium size ones for cooking for 8 people. I find that's usually the case anyway in rentals so I brought some of my own stuff to use. (rice cooker, tupperware for leftovers) All in all a great unit in a great location, would stay again and would recommend.
