With charming, modern farmhouses , Outlot 201 Guest Houses offer relaxing hill country views just on the outskirts of town. Nestled in a grove of trees, the guest houses are the perfect place to retreat in a refined, yet relaxed, setting.

Couples love the quiet privacy each house provides, making it the perfect romantic get-away for two. Or, invite your favorite couples for a long weekend— the houses allow the perfect balance to reconnect with friends or family, while also having your own space. Each house has its own indoor and outdoor space all to itself.

The Outlot also makes a perfect retreat for girls trips—offering gorgeous sunset views after a day of shopping and wine tasting.

Pfiester House at Outlot 201 (unit 2) features one bedroom with a comfy, king size pencil post bed with luxury linens and plenty of cozy pillows. The bedroom is also equipped with a DOHM White Noise Machine, for those who are serious about their sleep! The adjacent bathroom is spacious and brightly lit, with a double vanity, beautiful soaking tub and spacious shower. The bath includes a toilet closet for additional privacy.

Flooded with natural light, you’ll find the separate living area (with queen sleeper sofa) a comfortable place to relax, with a flat screen television and free flowing Wi-Fi. The area also includes a small dining table and well-equipped (armoire) butler's pantry, with a microwave, refrigerator, sink, and electric tea kettle, as well as a coffee maker to brew locally roasted coffees from our friends at Caliche.

Upon arrival, your pantry will be stocked with house made banana nut bread as well as yummy granola, fresh fruit, yogurt, milk, juice and bottled water. You'll also find plenty of coffee and tea on hand.

Out the back door, you'll find a spacious outdoor living space overlooking the pasture, with our horse and sheep grazing in the distance. The charming patio provides beautiful sunset views -- the perfect spot after a long day of exploring Fredericksburg and the beautiful wine country! Pfiester House's patio features a relaxing outdoor shower and an (easy to use) clean-burning firepit.

Pfiester House has everything you need to make your stay comfortable, including Paya toiletries, a hair dryer, iron and ironing board.

If you're interested in booking more than one house and would like to expedite the booking process, please feel free to contact the owner directly so we can conveniently block the houses for you and arrange for one payment to save you time.

Small, non-shedding dogs (one per stay) will be considered. If approved, there will be a $150 pet fee. Please see complete pet policy in rental agreement. And lastly, Outlot 201 is a NON-SMOKING property and we very much appreciate your support of our commitment to a smoke-free environment for our guests.

Perfect cabin for our getaway
The property manager, Darla, reached out right away after I made the reservation to give me all of the important information for our stay. We slept great on the bed and the bathroom was amazing. The little kitchen armoire was well stocked and the homemade banana bread was wonderful. Highly recommended!

Perfect little cabin for our stay. Secluded and peaceful but so close to shops and restaurants. Hosts were so helpful and informative. The homemade banana bread was a treat, after a day exploring the town. First time visiting Fredericksburg but are planning to visit again soon.

Hidden Gem I Almost Don't Want to Share! But will ...
My son and I had the most amazing weekend getaway at a charming "modern farmhouse" VRBO property. I could say "Ditto" to all of the rave reviews, but it would not do this property or its owners justice. The hosts, Darla and Mike, were beyond incredible - their kindness and accommodation made our stay truly memorable. The attention to detail at the "modern farmhouse" VRBO property was exceptional. From the freshly baked banana bread that awaited us upon arrival, the Peacock Alley sheets (catch-up sleep is vastly important to me and this property delivered in spades), to the thoughtful recommendations for things to do in Fredericksburg during our quick weekend getaway, every aspect of our stay was carefully curated to create a truly memorable experience. It was a special moment for my teenage son and me to reconnect before he starts his high school journey. The property and experience were absolutely priceless, and we are already eagerly planning our return trip – and looking forward to seeing our new Fredericksburg friends again soon! Our stay could not have been better! There are three farmhouses for rent and they are all beautiful. We stayed in the middle house (Pfiester House) and had such a wonderful time. The house was so comfortable and had everything we needed and more. The property is was so close to Fredricksburg which made it so convenient but is secluded on property which gives you the feeling of being out in the country. It was so quiet which provided us with such a relaxing weekend. Darla was there to answer any questions we had and provided us with where we needed to go and what we needed to see. If you are planning a trip to Fredericksburg I highly recommend this place! You will not be disappointed.

A Wonderful Stay
My best friend and I spent a couple of nights in Fredericksburg before picking our sons up at camp nearby. We wanted some place near to town, but on a property that had land and animals. This little farmstead was the perfect spot! Darla was very responsive to my questions, and offered to stop by to say hello once we arrived. I knew we would be arriving late, and she was understanding of that. but offered to make herself available if we needed anything at all. She left a wonderful collection of tea and coffee for us, along with cuties, yogurt, milk, orange juice, and banana nut bread for us to enjoy. It is about an 8 minute drive to town, and we were initially worried that ride shares would be difficult to get, but that was not the case at all. We enjoyed wine by the fire pit one evening and reflected on what a perfect little getaway we had.

We had the pleasure of staying here over the weekend and it was great! Clean, comfy space, and peaceful location. There are 3 cottages next to one another- ours was located in the middle. The other two cottages were vacant during our stay so we zero issues! Great for family/friends to have a place in close proximity to one another!

Perfect in every way!
Cannot say enough good things about this adorable little farmhouse. It was more than my friend and I could have hoped for our girls weekend. So clean, with every little detail thought of…even a loaf of banana bread waiting for us when we arrived. Will recommend to everyone headed to the Texas Hill Country and will definitely be back!

My husband and I have stayed at this modern farmhouse several times, and it never disappoints! It’s clean and modern with a beautiful large bathroom. It has a peaceful rural feel, yet is very convenient to town. There is an area outdoors for lounging and enjoying your favorite beverage. Excellent communication with owners who live nearby. It’s a favorite lodging choice for us!

Not only was the property beautiful, but the owner made sure to prepare the fridge with drinks and snacks, provided detailed notes on the property, and was given town suggestions. My partner and I will definitely be staying here next time we visit Fredricksburg, 10/10!

Cute Cottages
We really enjoyed our stay at 2 of the cottages. The owners are very nice and quick to respond to any needs. The remote location is great for stargazing, but close enough to town too. It is great to sit out back at the firepit and watch the sunset and the animals. The beds are very comfortable and the cottage is very cozy. The banana bread is delicious too.

We have stayed in vacation rentals all over the US and Europe, and Mike and Darla's Outpost property definitely makes the top five list of places we love. We absolutely cherished our time spent in our one bedroom farmhouse. You can see the love behind every detail in this immaculate little house, I particularly loved the beautiful pedestal tub and the unbelievably comfortable mattress. Fredericksburg is adorable, the wineries, the German cuisine, the Texas wildflowers were so amazing to explore and all are within five minutes drive from this amazing farmstead, replete with donkeys, horses and sheep. Mike and Darla are the most gracious hosts we've ever had the privilege of working with. I was sad to leave, but started planning our return trip before our plane left San Antonio.

Very Nice!
Beautiful area, very nice small cottage kept extremely clean. Mike and Darla are very nice and we got of loaf of the banana nut bread, I believe Mike said his Mother makes. At any rate it was delcious. We enjoyed relaxing in the quiet atmosphere and plan to return.

My three grown daughters and I enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing weekend away. The cottage was cozy, well appointed and completely private and comfortable.
