My stay at the Piccadilly was great! The front counter staff were very friendly, pleasant and professional! The room was great! However, the dining was way below standards! I lived in Fresno for many years and moved away in 2009. My wife and used to love to go to the Steak and Anchor on many, occassions and greatly enjoyed their food quality and superb service. I went to the dining room, but it was closed and I then went to the bar for dinner. I ordered a soda water and a New York steak. The soda water came very quick! Unfortunately, 22 minutes later, my steak did not arrive and I told the bartender that I wanted to cancell my dinner and pay for the soda water. I thionk the saddest part of this experience is that she acted as if she really did not care! If any manager would like to discuss this matter, they can feel free to contact me anytime at raygreek22yahoo.com!

You get a complimentary breakfast voucher if you book through the hotel. If you book through Expedia you won’t get it. In the room the carpets were stained and both sinks were dripping to where I had to turn on white noise from my phone in order to drown out the dripping sound to sleep. There is another Picadilly in Fresno that I had the pleasure of staying at. They’re not affiliated and the other is so much better and with them you will get a free breakfast.

Pool was closed, water in shower and sink were barely lukewarm, had to call night before to ask for housekeeping, no elevator so we had to stay in bottom floor—people above us were noisy, when housekeeping came they left no extra supplies—soap, coffee, etc, , had “Coffee Bar—with ok food but expensive, carpet was been newly shampooed but carpet was damp—no comparable room available, will not return

Utter Chaos...
Long story short, we drove up to Fresno from San Diego on a Friday night. Got caught up in LA traffic and called to make sure they didn't give away our room. Sure enough, when we got there (11:30pm), a family was being told the hotel was overbooked, and would have to stay somewhere else. To their credit, the under-staffed front desk clerks provided accommodations for them elsewhere. When it was our turn to check in, they remembered me and kept my room. Unfortunately, they didn't do the same for my aunt who was traveling with us. Splitting up was not an option, so they offered to provide accommodations for us as well. However, it was for a Motel...which I refuse to stay in. They understood and suddenly "found" two vacant rooms in the hotel, and gave them to us. We drove around to the back of the hotel and parked in a lot open to the street, near where our rooms were. Our rooms were on the second floor (no elevator to my knowledge) and had to carry our luggage up a winding staircase. My aunt was able to get into her room, but our keys didn't work. Instead of giving us new keys, security moved us into another room across the hall. Unfortunately, the TV and phone did not work. My wife went back down and they moved us to the room next door. There, the TV worked, but the phone didn't. We decided to cut our losses and stay put. Full disclosure, the staff did their best, but the hotel is in desperate need of renovations. Their "overbooked" rooms were legitimately Out of Service.

The hotel was fine. We booked it because it was within minutes of the airport and we had a 6am flight. They REALLY mean a 3pm check in time and not a minute before. We had been driving for hours and would have liked to have checked in a little earlier. Since we had a rental car, we could manage it, but if we hadn't, we'd have been stuck sitting in the lobby and waiting or paying an extra $50 charge for the privilege. It wasn't like they didn't have rooms ready, the place wasn't busy.

I am 85 and was amazed at the professional customer service here that is so lacking almost everywhere. I live in Fresno but chose to spend the night near the airport for my early morning flight to Los Angeles and at 4:30 a.m. asked the front desk for walking directions to the airport. The young lady told me they would provide a shuttle for me and a security man walking by said 'Yes sir, I'll take you. Refreshing!
