Very run-down place. Bathrooms were old and tacky. The restaurant floor was sticky and smelled weird. The food was great, although, during breakfast the plates were dirty and the cutlery also.

The setting of the hotel was great but the hotel requires updating and modernisation. I booked the executive suit , the decor ,paintwork and room seem all to be an off yellow colour. The carpets spelt off and dogs smells were off putting. The button on the jacuzzi fell off and the steam room smelt unclean and the sauna wasn’t working. Reception was very nice and welcoming.

Liked the staff, the area and the building itself. Though found it to be dated, the room was a bit too warm and dated. We were given a disibility room for some reason despite not booking one. The plug hole in the shower was grotty and the hot tap was scorching hot and the cold tap was warm.

Gkt here at the hotel on friday evening and staff were very helpful. The room was clean and well presented. The only thing is that it could of done with some air conditioning as the room was very hot and the fan didnt do much. But otherwise it was a perfect stay

Some areas require refurbishing

Areas within the hotel have been improved over last couple of years ie restaurants and reception. However the room I stayed in on the second floor was in need of refurbishment. Especially the bathroom reminded me of my modern pink bathroom suite in 1980

Disappointing

When booking it says there is a pool in the facilities, when already booked got an email to say pool is chargeable extra - it doesn't say that anywhere on the listing, this was why we booked the hotel and it was a great dissapointment to learn we would have to pay extra on top of the already expensive room to use it. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist advised that we have breakfast included and explained what times and where to go. However, in the morning we were turned away from breakfast as apparently it wasn't included in our room and they wanted £15.99 per person?! Thats the most expensive breakfast I've ever seen! Looked to me as if they tried to get more people in the restaurant under pretenses that you have breakfast but end up paying this extortionate price because you are already there and there is nowhere alse to eat close! In addition to the pool situation there was a massive sign at reception to say the pool is out of order what was not mentioned on any of the emails I was getting prior to coming. Overall a dissapointing stay although the room was big and the bed comfy. Generally it was dated and smelled of damp. No air con, just some lousy fan which did nothing but made us feel like were back in the 90s.

Business trip stop over

I stayed for one night on a business trip. It was very hot and there was no air conditioning. My room was next to the pool plant room and boiling hot. Location though is great, the nature area was amazing to go running in and made the stay really worthwhile
