Such a perfect weekend getaway!
This was an absolutely perfect stay with our adult kids for a fun weekend getaway! I loved the vintage furniture and the unique setup. I loved that it was historical but still sturdy. We loved that we were close to East Beach and the Strand. The hosts were aMAZing, even helping me out when I left something behind. We will hope for availability each time we revisit Galveston.

Perfect getaway!
End of the year teacher stress was building up... needed a getaway! This place was perfect! Loved sitting on the front porch in the morning for coffee and in the evening with an adult beverage. Location is awesome! Close enough to get where you are going quickly and just far enough to be away from crowds. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit here!

We had a great time staying at the Bishop’s Bungalow! Super easy check in / check out process. The strand and the beach were really close - could have walked but we chose to drive. The apartment was well stocked and was great for what we were looking for! Would definitely recommend!

Sweet place
Bishop's Bungalow is right in the middle of everything! It's easy access to the beach, the cruise terminal, The Strand, the historic district...everything. It's a sweet little place perfect for two couples or small family. The kitchen is small but well stocked. The bathrooms are also small, but everything was smaller in the 1890's. It was the perfect get-away for the weekend from our busy lives in Katy.

The house was cute and cozy. WiFi only worked in the living room. There was a little T.V. room and the T.V. was an antique. That was only T.V and was uncomfortable room and not enough room for a family to relax. The house was spacious and beds where comfortable.

Bishops Bungalow, has everything you need for your stay & is a lovely old property on the main road in / out of Galveston, very easy to find. We had no issues at all at the house, its ideally situated for the beach or the cruise port, plenty of places to eat & drink close by..The owners are great to deal with & respond very quickly to any queries...

Very nice for a century old home
We enjoyed our stay although the home could definitely use a modern upgrade on simple “Home Depot” fixable issues like a new bathroom sink, sans rust. Otherwise, we loved being in the location, it was exceedingly clean and comfortable and the a/c worked wonderfully. I would definitely recommend and hope to revisit. Thanks for providing local information on food spots, etc.

Very nicely laid out! Comfortable stay and enjoyed being close to many things.
The property was very nice and comfortable for our needs. I would recommend this for a small family or adults. Nice front porch for sitting. Like the washer and dryer on the premises. Much roomier than expected. No back yard for kids.

Great location for walking
My daughter & I rented this apartment for Spring Break. The best feature is how centrally located the property is. If one enjoys walking, it's within walking distance of both downtown and the beach. We walked to the Bishop's Palace across the street and the Mosquito Café but could easily have walked to many more locations. Broadway is a very busy street and the cars speed by the house early in the morning so make sure you keep your kids safe if you bring them. As others have mentioned, the furnishings could use an update but we found the beds and baths quite comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and has a full sized refrigerator.

Nice and centrally located
What a delightful place. It was very roomy and well equipped. The location is central to all Galveston and other area sights and activities. Beds and furniture were comfortable. We also enjoyed the front porch. The kitchen was well equipped, and the house even included a washer and dryer. The separate TV room was an unexpected bonus.. Parking was also convenient - that can be an issue at some Galveston locations. Thank you once again for comfortable lodging.
