This is a Beach House where you can relax and enjoy the Gulf of Mexico. This Beach House has three bedrooms with a sofa bed to sleep 6/7. The sunsets are awesome particularly from the upstairs deck
While the house will sleep 6 comfortably a additional person could use the sofa bed downstairs.
There is a Queen Bed downstairs in the Master with 2 bedrooms upstairs, One has a Queen Bed and the other has 2 Twin Beds.
There is WIFI, Cable Television and everything you need. Except for food and drink and there might even be some of that in the frig or pantry.

Old rundown but on the beach
House needs work: AC struggled to cool main house, drain lines leaked, under sinks smelled mildew, towels folded up damp, dead water bugs laying around, sand on the floors, no door knob on balcony door (moved closet knob to use), dog hair on sofa, Mr. Coffee missing pot, Keurig had one pod, found sishes and pots/pans put up dirty, and front code lock would not unlock deadbolt.

Weekend getaway
We stayed the weekend 8/15- 8/18. I have little kids so having a washer and dryer is a necessity, the dryer was new but apparently the outlet is broke. The house needs a cleaning from top to bottom including the first on the ceiling from the ceiling blades that has a ton of dirt billowing off when the fan runs. There is a few safety concerns such as spindles falling off the stair well and nails popping up on the deck on the top deck. the kitchen had ants everywhere all over the counter so we could t leave any food out for any reason. I have contacted the owner about these issues and he said he was going to correct the house. I was excited about the beach front house but there is a house directly in front of you besides of to the side but sitting on the top porch is the best spot to view ocean and the neighbors roof. The beach was easy to walk to with a trail through the weeds but it was ok, overall I would be happy to stay hear if everything was corrected

Place is in fair shape. Could use some tlc and a good cleaning. Disappointed that we had no dryer for our stay, but owner is actively working on it. A/C kept up, we had plenty of hot water. Adequate kitchen, equipment , and beds for a family of 5. Great beach access, not crowded for our Monday through Friday stay. 20 yards from sand and about 100 yards to the water. Hard to beat that.

Great location!
Overall we enjoyed our stay. However, the checkout instructions are very few and basically the only real request was to make sure to take out the trash. Well the previous renters did not do this and obviously neither did the house cleaner. As other reviews stated the floors didn't seem well swept but weren't terrible and the beds and bathrooms were clean. There were a lot of ants in the kitchen so we were very careful not to leave food out. The first night we even found them in one of the twin beds. We sprayed them and washed the bedding and didn't see anymore outside of the kitchen after that. We really enjoyed the location and overall had a great time.

Great beach views/access!
Pros: The house was away from all the touristy part of Galveston making for a quiet, peaceful beach. Beach access was good and just a short stroll across the dunes. There are good views of the ocean from 3 decks. The house has plenty of towels and seating. Cons: When we arrived, the house was in need of a good cleaning. There was dirt, hair, and dust on the floors, furniture, and end tables including crackers on the living room furniture and dried bread under the kitchen table bench. We had trouble getting the TV to work. It would turn itself off after about 30 mins and then not turn back on for several hours. Overall, we had a great stay and thoroughly enjoyed being at the beach.

Fulfilled is duty as a house but was a bit lacking
The location is great and access to the beach was awesome! The house was nice and cool when we entered and had a fun surfing theme. It could have been a bit more clean as there were cob webs on the TV table and dust and pet hair (it appeared) on some of the table surfaces in the main bedroom. The upstairs bedrooms stayed gloriously cold due to their size and both having window units. The downstairs however became a bit stuffy even with the fans on. There were two box fans available so that was nice. All of the doors on the property stick and are difficult to open/close. If you are needing to check in on a child without waking them, good luck! There is no covered deck area to sit and drink coffee while enjoying the view. The bottom deck is too narrow to sit on anyway. The refrigerator was not cool at all when we arrived after grocery shopping. With some troubleshooting we were able to resolve it. The owner responded quickly when informed of the issue and was going to have someone come look at it if it wasn't resolved. The kitchen had a few large pots and 1 skillet but no small pans/pots for sauces. The burners did not heat evenly. The lights outside the home didn't work well. There were solar lights on the stairs but they never worked so going up and down the stairs at night was very dangerous. Overall, the house kept us safe, cool and dry (it rained at least once each day of our trip this year), and that's the main thing. Any day at the beach is better than a day somewhere else!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very cute. It had everything we needed. (Dishes, silverware, cups, coffee machine, washer and dryer,etc) The location for the beach was great. We had plenty of space to ourselves. We will stay here again if we get the chance. It was perfect for us.

This property is the second house back from the ocean with ocean views from all three decks. The kitchen was adequately stocked. We sort of got the unlucky straw during our visit. The AC was on its last leg and kept the house at a hot 89 degrees. Walt communicated that there would be a full AC replacement three days into our trip and that the AC was still working, but three days in was the earliest he could get the repairs scheduled. We ARE empathetic to this as homeowners, but wish there would’ve been a bit more clarity on just how hot the house was getting before we arrived. There weren’t many other accommodations available over the holiday weekend so we felt kind of stuck. We brought a weeks worth of food to help save money, but couldn’t fathom turning on a hot stove those first three days. The AC was replaced and the house felt fantastic after that. A couple of days before we left, the circuit with the fridge, dishwasher, and garbage disposal went out. We lost a bit of food in the fridge/freezer and had to buy some coolers. With Walt’s assistance, we were able to get the fridge and dishwasher back up and running the next day. Walt was able to fix the problem the day after we left. The upstairs bathroom could use a paint refresh as some of it is chipping and appears dirty (back of door and floor boards). Be careful on the upper deck at night. There is a board that is sticking up about 2” just waiting for you to stub your toes. We placed one of the outdoor tables over it to avoid injuries. We had some trouble with the washing machine. It would fill with water and then stop without agitation. We were able to get it back to the spin cycle after unplugging and running through the cycle again, after each use. This probably needs to be replaced or fixed soon. With all the other issues going on, we forgot to notify Walt about this. There’s a lot of extra household items and decorations in the closets which makes it a little difficult to put away your own belongings. The house is a little older and being so close to the ocean creates a host of maintenance problems from the salty air. Walt did make things right and provided some compensation for our troubles. He was quick to communicate. Aside from all of our bad luck with the AC and appliances, we would recommend staying here as many of these issues were fixed. The place is so close to the ocean and has terrific views with a cool breeze!

Awesome Beach House
Excellent location and just a short walk over the sand dunes and onto the beach. Outdoor shower made easy clean up after the beach. Owner left beach stuff such as tent, chairs and boards for beach use. Only drawback was the house got warm in the afternoon due to the air conditioner not keeping up. Window units upstairs helped that. Kitchen had all the utensils needed. I would suggest bringing more towels

So overall, nice place. Had a few issues: broken drawer, hairy towels and shower and dirty floors. But this was a good campout place especially if you're not planning on sleeping all day or staying inside all day. Super close to the private beach with a path made out to walk through. Far enough from the seawall to have privacy and not a lot of riff raff around us. Also had stuff on hand like coffee, spices, dish soap, etc. Also a very lax place to stay, simple rules (use it, replace it) Reminded me of a stay at grandmas, very homey and inviting. Also, the owner is very quick to respond and helpful with checkin, we didn't need anything else from him, pretty much everything else was self explanatory.

Great location! Needs deep cleaning.
This location is so close to the beach! Although it is the 2nd house, we had great views and a very short walk to the beach. That being said, don't book this place if a clean and tidy place is important to you. This property is so cute, but it is in desperate need of a deep cleaning and minor repairs.
