Translated as House of Flowers, Chateau de Fleurs doesn't disappoint
with springtime beauty as well as lush summer scenes, colorful fall displays, and magical wintry peaks.
Our classic A-frame 2800+ sq. ft., 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath chalet sleeps up to 16 comfortably. Relax and bask in the spectacular views of Gatlinburg, Mt. LeConte, and the surrounding mountains from our spacious wrap-around decks. ~2.5 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and less than 1 mile from the ski slopes and Ober Gatlinburg.
The open concept living areas on all three floors with lots of natural light. The main level hosts a fully equipped kitchen, dining room that seats 12 and kitchen bar that seats 6. The living room has a flat screen TV with Cable and DVD player. The sitting area gives space to rest easy next to the stone wood-burning fireplace. The loft has a lounge nook and a writing desk that has a surge protector if need to bring your laptop. On the main covered deck we have rocking chairs, a porch swing, and a gas grill for your use.
Head to the lower level for fun and games. The chalet has full-size bar that includes a microwave, ice machine and minifridge, as well as a variety of barware to serve drinks up while celebrating your time together. You can challenge your family and friends to a game at the professional slate pool table or the felt-topped poker table. The fun rounds out with an entertainment lounge where you can watch the flat screen TV from almost anywhere in the open lower level space. There is another wood burning fireplace to keep you warm on cool nights. We also have a bunch of family friendly board games you can play at night or on a rainy or snowy day. Finally, you can head outside on the lower level deck and view the majestic Smoky Mountains from the steamy covered hot tub.
The 5 bedrooms include 2 kings, 2 queens and 8 bunked twin beds, sleeping 16 comfortably. Ideal for large family gatherings, church groups and retreats. The primary king bedroom and lower level queen bedroom have direct access to the covered decks and ensuite full bathrooms.
Other amenities not mentioned above include high speed Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, community access to 3 pools (in summer), fitness center, tennis courts, and bonus game tables (like shuffleboard and foosball) at the Chalet Village clubhouse, just a ½ mile away. The pool is typically open Memorial Day through Labor Day and is operated by the Chalet Village Homeowner's Association.
Chateau de Fleurs is a great pick for large groups wishing to stay near area attractions, shops, and restaurants. Kids love waving to the nearby Ober Gatlinburg Tram as it passes at the highest tower. You will find yourself staying up at night to watch the twinkling lights of downtown Gatlinburg, or rising early to witness the sunrise over the swirling mists of the Smokies.
Please note, it is not uncommon to encounter wildlife, such as bears, while staying at the chalet. We encourage all guests to remove all food and trash from their vehicles and keep their vehicle's doors locked.
Chateau de Fleurs is located at the top of a steep mountain road. In the late fall, winter, and early spring it is not uncommon to occasionally have hazardous road conditions. It is recommended that all guests have four-wheel drive and/or tire chains during these seasons. Most roads in our area are well maintained, but they can be curvy and steep as you are visiting the mountains. No refunds will be given due to inability to get to the chalet due to road conditions. You may consider trip insurance if planning a trip during these seasons.
The chalet has 2 flat parking areas and can fit up to 5 vehicles safely.
