Tucked away from the noise and busyness of everyday life, is a quiet hideaway located just a few miles outside the quaint little Village of Intercourse, PA. Many Lancaster County attractions are nearby: Kitchen Kettle, Strasburg Railroad, Dutch Wonderland, Amish Quilt Shops, Rockvale and Tanger Outlet Malls, Sight and Sound Millenium Theatre, Shady Maple Restaurant/Smorgasboard and other Restaurants with Amish Cooking, Buggy Rides, Hot Air Balloon Rides.

The apartment (over 850 sq. ft!) under the great room of the owner's home is warmly decorated and peaceful. Renovations in 2023 included a new kitchen, freshly-painted walls, enhanced lighting, and new furniture. It includes a comfortable featherbed, flat-screen TV/DVD, seating area with fireplace, dining table and stocked kitchen (sink/refrigerator/stove/microwave/coffee maker.) A small stackable washer and dryer can be used for small loads of laundry. Separate parking for our Hideaway guests. The spacious backyard features a large gazebo, perfect for picnics, and you are invited to stroll through perennial gardens bursting with color during the summer or relax in the hammock.

Beautifully kept yard offered private gazebo area for morning coffee and afternoon reading space. Thought the Hideaway offers comfortable chairs and couch area for gathering as well. The Hideaway was Excellent
We loved this property. The kitchen was clean and roomy and had everything we needed. The seating area was very nice and comfortable with plenty of tables for drinks and snacks. The bed was super comfy. I felt like my body just melted into the mattress. I slept so well. The TV was situated so it could be seen from the seating area and the bedroom area. The chairs in the seating area were turned away from it, but the sofa was sitting towards it so it was fine for the two of us. There were PLENTY of towels, washcloths and hand soap in the bathroom. There was even a hand mirror. There were nice thoughtful “extras” everywhere. Everything I seemed to need was there and so convenient. Since we were there in June the BEAUTIFUL flowers were in bloom. The landscape was just lovely and well tended. The family who owned it was so nice and friendly. We enjoyed meeting and talking to them. I wish we had run into each other again I highly recommend this property. You cannot go wrong staying here.

The Hideaway was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to stay for a short weekend getaway. The property was very clean, fully equipped with everything you could need, and the free coupons to their coffee shop was a great touch! Their golden retriever, Riley, was super friendly and always greeted us with a wagging tail. The Smuckers were great hosts, they responded quickly to messages, and made the check in/out process very easy. We definitely plan to stay again!

This vrbo rental was immaculate. It is well stocked with household essentials and felt like home while staying there. The host was very easy to communicate with for check or if you needed anything during your stay. The two coupons for a beverage at their coffee shop in town was an added bonus. The grounds came equipped with a playground for kids and a gazebo to watch the sunset if you so chose. My wife and I stayed there for our anniversary and hope to stay there again. For those who decide to book this rental, you will not be disappointed.

The Hideway couldn’t have been better, convenient, immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and surrounded by beautiful farms. The yard is very welcoming with blooming flowers, and a gazebo to sit outside and relax. Riley the dog greeted us and visited us while sitting outside. Probably not a better place to stay in Lancaster County for a couple! Highly recommended!
