This home comprises two living spaces: a three-bedroom home and a two-bedroom apartment, perfect for creating privacy.

Located just blocks away from the popular downtown Government Camp, you'll be able to easily walk to restaurants, shops, and the Summit Ski Area. Mt. Hood Skibowl is just on the other end of town, about a mile from your door. In addition, Timberline Lodge and Mt. Hood Meadows are both within a short drive. In winter, Brooke and Dan's Retreat is a great home base for skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, or even snowmobiling in the nearby Mt. Hood National Forest. In summer, the Cascade Mountains offer hiking, biking, and fishing. You'll find the area's ski resorts covered in wildflowers and most have operating chair lifts for a scenic ride or hike down the mountain.

Inside, the great room features tall slanted ceilings, a pellet stove, hardwood floors, a TV, and lots of space for your whole group to socialize. Come back from a hike and watch a movie - there's a Blu-ray/DVD player (please provide your own Blu-rays/DVDs) or you can stream something from Amazon Prime and Netflix (available by using your own accounts). Or just spend a quiet evening looking at the Skibowl lights from the large picture windows. The main kitchen boasts gorgeous granite countertops and all major appliances (including a dishwasher). You'll also have a coffee grinder, espresso maker, blender, mixer, and a toaster. Create everything from a light weekend brunch to a hearty pasta meal. Indulge at the dining table together, or if the weather is nice, head out to the covered deck for an outdoor meal or a barbecue. There's a gas grill so you can flip some burgers - and don't forget the private hot tub!

Downstairs, a two-bedroom living space features another full kitchen, a living area, and two bedrooms, as well as another bathroom.

This home can also be rented as a three-bedroom for eight.

Winter getaway
We were there two years ago ,loved the place so much and decided to go back. This time was disappointed in few areas The place has been run down since two years ago. The dishwasher was filthy, the microwave was not cleaned, the facet of kitchen was broken, the dryer wasn’t working.,no baking pan, only 10 coffee mugs in a house could accommodate 16. No ice cream scoop,……. Good supply of pellets for the wood stove o keep the house warm 👍.

Wonderful Comfy Home
This is the 3rd or 4th time we have stayed at this property in the winter, and it does not disappoint. In fact, we loved the improvements made since our last stay: new couch, beautiful new floors, new lighting, fancy heated toilet seats, etc. There is plenty of space for our extended family of 12. Lots of towels, bathrooms, good beds, and a terrific location. Had a wonderful time as usual- highly recommend it!

Comfy for Big Groups
There were 14 of us, grandparents all the way down to a toddler, and the home accommodated us beautifully. We never felt crowded. The only thing that was tough was that there were not enough dishes for a family of 14 to constantly use. It would help to keep more dishes, particularly glasses, on hand. It would also help to have more large serving dishes to serve meals. Other than that, we were very pleased. I would book it again.

Great property
Just as advertised, the second apartment really came in handy and there were plenty of sleeping areas. Just make sure you get the key from the right lock box!

In a cabin in the woods...
There are 14 of us. I have three grown kids, plus their spouses, and their kids. We are aged 68 years down to 23 month twins. The kids loved the sledding hill. The younger adults loved the hot tub. I loved the apartment for one family of 7 so the twins could sleep/nap while the bigger kids played or the grown ups stayed up late playing silly games. The master bedroom can just barely handle two pack and play beds. The rooms were good and beds were comfortable. We cooked every meal at the house and found everything we needed except for full sets of measuring cups and spoons. I know those things wander off some how. We wished the internet was a bit faster but really we were there for the togetherness and the snow and that was wonderful. There were plenty of towels and TP, dish soap and pellets for the stove. The kitchen dish towels are not very absorbent and we could have used more dish rags to wipe up spills and wet floors. Maybe switch to 100% cotton towels and dish rags. The place can sleep 14 people but the kitchen, dining room and living room on the main floor doesn't really have enough chairs or table space or room for 14 to eat together or sit around the fire together. But overall it was a lovely 4 nights with my kids and grand kids.

Big enough for the whole family!
We had both the upper and lower floors for a family reunion. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed. Beautiful setting up the hill from the main part of Government Camp. The main floor is very open, there are 2 large decks with a hot tub on the main level deck.

Comfy Government Camp Home
Had a great stay in this roomy Government Camp home. Nice quiet location (a bit difficult to find as GPS and google maps misidentify the house location- look for the Brooke and Dan sign on the porch) with a little sledding hill next door for the kids! The hot tub on the deck has a great view. Plenty of beds, bedrooms and bathrooms for 14 of us. The wood pellet stove kept us cozy all weekend. Nice big common areas upstairs and downstairs for kids and adults to have their own spaces. Kitchen was spacious and opened on to the living area which made it very social. Really enjoyed it! Thank you.
