We enjoyed our stay. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and the room was clean. The only negative was having 1 washer/dryer for multiple buildings. We would stay here again.

A lot has changed here since the last time my family stayed here. For one, I’m not sure why, but the registration office moved up to the gondola and alpine slide ticket building. The new lobby is horrible. It’s not a warm, inviting area at all. It looked like a car rental lobby. Nothing like the other lobbies in the area. There were no amenities so if you’ve read there is, for example, s’mores kits, that is absolutely not the case. My kids had to go without at the bonfire at Caribou Highlands because these were listed as something we could get there so I didn’t bring anything. Office staff said they don’t have a lot of what they used to. The room was beautiful though. The view in bldg A of the mountains was outstanding and we loved the fireplace. Hats off to the staff and Lindsay. They were great! They dealt with a server outage the night we checked in. That couldn’t have been easy to deal with but the staff were kind and just went with it. Observation: TP placement is weird. Please put extra TP near the toilet, not the other side of the vanity. No one wants to do that waddle to get to it. In all I loved the room but was bummed at the property. We mostly hung out around Caribou Highlands as they have good food and beverages, bonfires, games and such. Thomas to do. Caribou wont share s’mores kits so bring your own or just stay at Caribou as the prices are similar.

We booked a king room, mountain view weeks earlier at a promo rate. a large tree totally blocked the mountain view. We asked to change rooms but were told that we would have to pay the current rate. When we said no to this there suddenly were no alternative rooms available. The check in person had no authority to make any changes, only the MOD, who was not available and never called as promised to discuss possible solutions. VERY poor customer relations which left check in persons in a bad spot. Avoid room 222 if you want to enjoy the view. Overall experience was okay but this fiasco may lead us to stay elsewhere after many years of lodging here.

Outdated room and decor. Very dark unit, was told the unit had Mountain View’s, it faces the mountain but we were on a lower level so the view was obstructed by trees. Kitchen was serviceable, bed comfortable, but will probably find a brighter place with more amenities in the future.

Overall the stay was average. The views were incredible and the amenities were very nice. If you are easily woken up by noise, I would bring ear plugs. There is little to no sound buffer between the ceiling and the floor. We heard every move the people above us made. It was not enjoyable hearing them at 4am using the bathroom. We could hear them closing cabinets and dropping things on the ground. Our shower door was also broken when we first arrived, a little surprised that wasn’t fixed prior to new guest arrival. The mattresses need to be replaced, they were very lumpy. The staff were responsive to concerns brought towards them. We will likely try a new resort/hotel when we are in town again.

I really liked my room! However, I kept hearing mechanical noises throughout the night that sounded like a dryer (or drain like a washer.) Not sure of the source of the noise but it did disrupt my sleep.
