Grandma Dottie’s Room is a private bedroom located upstairs in our shared home, perfect for up to two registered guests. Designed for comfort and convenience, this inviting space features a queen-sized bed, a dedicated workspace with a desk and chair, and a mini-fridge and microwave for your personal use.

Grandma Dottie’s connects to an en suite Jack-and-Jill-style bathroom, shared exclusively with the adjacent Mamaw Uschie’s Room, ensuring privacy while maintaining the welcoming atmosphere of a shared home.

Situated in the heart of the Idlewood Neighborhood, our home is less than a mile from both Cone Hospital and Downtown Greensboro, making it an ideal base for professionals, creatives, and travelers alike.

Our Mission
We are a local, non-corporate guest home rental management company dedicated to supporting Guilford County high school students with learning differences. By staying with us, you’re helping these students gain valuable hands-on experience in a real-world setting, providing them with meaningful opportunities to grow and learn.

House Guidelines
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay, we kindly ask all guests to review and follow these guidelines:

Flushing Policy:

Do not flush sanitary products, paper towels, wipes (even “flushable” ones), diapers, or cotton products.
Only flush natural waste and toilet paper.
Flushing improper items may result in repair fees ranging from $100 to $500, billed to you.
Damages to Linens & Towels:

Towels: $20 each
Sheet Sets: $100 per set
Pillowcases: $25 each
Quilts/Blankets: $20 to $500 depending on the item
Trash & Recycling:

Green can: Trash
Brown can: Recycling (no plastic bags, please)
Trash and recycling are picked up on Mondays (except holidays). Please dispose of waste in the designated bins behind the house.
Quiet Hours:

Please be mindful of noise levels from 9 PM to 9 AM to respect our neighbors.
Checkout:

Set the HVAC system to 68–72°F.
Remove all trash to outdoor bins.
Remove all personal items.
Do not turn off the HVAC system.
Report any accidental damage before departure.
Pet Policy
Pet fees are based on the size, number, and shed level of your pets.
For multiple or high-shedding pets, we recommend scheduling a mid-stay cleaning.
Dispose of pet waste in designated outdoor bins.
Direct pets to non-grass areas to prevent lawn damage.
