NO electronic key have to leave key when going out. dirty bathroom mold/ hair NOISE HOTEL / ROOM you can hear other guests from your room, can't sleep uncomfortable bed/ pillows, sunken mattress stained sheets/old torn towels in general a ONE STAR HOTEL.

Overall it was good. The only disappointment was we were expecting two queen size beds for the family room and we got two doubles. They should make sure to change this and be accurate in the room details.

A pleasant stay
I stay started out a bit rocky. On the first day when we arrived we were given a very dark room. It had no natural light coming in other than from the inside of the hotel and the ceiling light were very dim. Once we settled in, I asked the front desk concierge why there were no drinking glasses or cups in our room and if I could have two glasses. She said that was not possible. I asked her why... there was a restaurant in the hotel. She again repeated that it was not possible. I have never been in a hotel that did not have at least plastic cups in the room. So I went out and located a store to purchased two drink glasses. I also bought a bottle of wine and a corkscrew. The front desk did not have a wine opener. It got better the next day. We were relocated to a room on the first level that was spacious and sunny and made a world of difference. The staff redeemed themselves with their friendliness and service. They were extremely helpful and always greeted us with a smile and also fixed our TV which was a huge deal for us. The location is really good. There's hustle and bustle and beautiful squares and lots of restaurants and I would not hesitate to return to Hotel Totem.

Lupita, night receptionist is awesome. Morning receptionist, not the friendliest. Only one thing felt odd/different, I was required to leave my room key (traditional key, not a card) at reception every time I went out. Arrived late and left really early and did not have a chance to try their diner.

Very friendly staff, they also kept our luggage safe while we shopped after checking out, rooms were clean, this hotel is around plenty of night life so you will hear music all night, did not bother me at all but good to know.
