Nice, but bring coffee, creamer, and sugar
Interesting home, if you have mobility issues not a good home to stay at. Bring your own coffee, creamer, and sweetener if arriving late and you want coffee when you wake up. It is not supplied.

Secluded and Quiet Retreat
Large and beautifully landscaped property, within in the forest, that I enjoyed walking each day. It was a perfect retreat from the city. The house had lots of large windows, so I enjoyed the outside from every room. A few minor hiccups, but nothing major, and the property manager was very responsive which was much appreciated.

Great retreat
We had a great stay at la maison rose. Our only suggestion would be a queen bed instead of a full in the main bedroom. Location was excellent and private, hot tub was wonderful

Always read reviews on property condition! This place smelled like mold the minute you walked in the door it hits you in the face! The larger bedroom smelled so bad you couldn't even stay in the room! My daughter and I slept it the small bed room. Me, a 61 year old adult on a twin been that folded in the middle when you sat on it and my daughter (35) on a murphy bed on the floor that smelled like pee! This house needs some TLC and replacement of smelly, dirty furniture. There was not one clean comfortable place to sit in the whole house! We tried to clean the house ourselves, which was crazy since there was a very large cleaning fee added to the house charge! We had looked forward to this trip for months and it was a huge disappointment! After a major meltdown, we did contact Vacasa and spoke to them about the condition of the house and the health issues it may cause. They did work with us and move us to another house and we are thankful for that!! Our California trip was not a total loss!!

Not quite as advertised
While it's a great concept, it didn't measure up: a double bed and a twin (with trundle) don't quite work for most people; furniture and countertop in kitchen show have wear; no cushions for outdoor furniture except chairs; mice and ants; little pride of ownership exhibited.

Great property
The grounds were amazing and the house was a great find. First time traveling with my 2 year old dog and he loved exploring. My 84 year old mom could move about just fine. She was a little uneasy in the shower as her balance is compromised but otherwise we will for sure be back!!

Peaceful spot
House and grounds were lovely, yet quite close to Cook's Beach and Gualala Bluffs. The kitchen was well-stocked--even had an espresso maker and blender. We found the mattress of the master bedroom totally comfortable--maybe other people have complained based on the size? (double vs. queen) Enjoyed watching birds and jack rabbits in yard--hope to return.

Beautiful, relaxing, but weary.
This is a gorgeous place to stay, and it is very relaxing. It’s close to beautiful beaches and in the red woods. We had a great time and planned on going back until I started getting emails about damage that I can’t prove we didn’t do. I didn’t examine the place when we got there, so how am I to prove we didn’t do it? There was no fire alarm in the master bedroom, and a weird smell from the laundry room. I’m very sad and disappointed that our family vacation where we made amazing memories is now a stressful situation. I’m not sure I would recommend this agency again. If things are worked out I will revise my review.

Lovely Getaway
It was nice and quiet. The location of the house was just charming. Loved all the flowers and the olive trees. We are planning on coming again. We are hoping that next time maybe there’ll be screens for the windows so we can open them and get some fresh air. Can’t wait to go back!

Great quiet area
It was a fantastic stay exactly what we were looking for. Be sure to bring your own coffee or stop at the cute little coffee shop like 3 minutes away for beans though. Super close to great food, trails, beaches, and the point arena lighthouse. Our dog has a great time sleeping on the porch beside the hammock chairs.

Outside Delight
The grounds of this property were spectacular! The gardens, orchard, and space were gorgeous even in their dormant winter state. The house itself was very cool and perfect for a couple. The house was super dirty - the floors did not appear to have been cleaned - there were dirt clods, dead bugs, candy wrappers, etc. on them. There was no vacuum cleaner for us to try to tidy up. The other problem was that neither the hot tub nor the gorgeous bathtub were working. There was a note about the bathtub not working (although we were not forewarned), but the hot tub was turned off, and when we found the box, it just kept tripping off and wouldn't get warm. I emailed multiple times about this asking for help and never heard a word back. Vacasa was impossible to communicate with. So that was a bummer as both of these features were greatly anticipated. The location near Gualala was fabulous and the many nearby beaches and trails were beautiful.

We absolutely loved this place.
It was so peaceful and relaxing. The trees and flowers were beautiful. Very secluded. The home was beautiful. If you needed something, the management team was so amazing and nice. We will def be coming back. Everything was clean and they had everything you need. We were even surprised to find some board games and books. You wont want to leave. There are several beaches within a very short distance. A cool little town right there.

Beautiful property and home. Furniture is HORRIBLE, bed is not a queen but is a double.
The house was immaculate upon arrival. Many wonderful windows which allowed for fantastic views of the redwoods. The ceilings and beams were very high and beautiful adding to the wonderful feeling of being secluded deep in the redwoods. The kitchen was pleasant and meal preparation was easy. However, I WOULD NEVER RENT THIS HOUSE AGAIN!. We are frequent visitors to the Gualala area as we have family there and have a lot of experience with rentals in the Gualala area. FIRST OFF, THE OWNER'S FEE was OUTRAGEOUS. They should simply be honest and say the house is a lot more expensive than the rate listed. ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THERE IS NO COMFORTABLE FURNITURE for sitting and watching TV, visiting with others, or simply lounging around. THE LIGHTING IN BEDROOMS, OFFICE AREA, BATHROOMS WAS VERY POOR. After sunset one cannot find a single area in the house with decent reading light. THE BED WAS UNBEARABLY UNCOMFORTABLE AND NOT A QUEEN BED BUT A DOUBLE BED! We did not get one good night's sleep which was so disappointing! THE OTHER DETRACTION FROM THIS HOME IS NOT BEING ABLE TO USE THE FIREPLACE, which appears to be fully functional, not just for decoration as the house information states. The owners just don't want anyone using it (I get it). Honestly, not being able to have a fire at the coast is missing out. If the owners simply got some comfortable furniture and at least queen size bed along with some decent lighting I would absolutely rent this home again. It would also be nice to be able to use the fireplace.

It was a beautiful house and property but the beds were terrible.
The only complaint I have was the beds. Other than that the property was beautiful and well equipped for our stay. Check in and check out were really easy too. I would absolutely stay here again if the bed situation was addressed
