Pleasant but uninspiring

The staff were pleasant but some were clearly inexperienced. Rooms have no soundproofing and you can hear the person in the adjoining room talking on the phone and disturbing you when you want to sleep. ACs are noisy and the only good part was that it was so loud that it drowned out the sound of people in the adjoining room. The breakfast was not very good and way overpriced for what you got. Dinner was better and bar scene was nice watching football playoffs. Overall it is 2-3 star establishment that is apparently 50+ years old and has been spruced up a bit but there is no soundproofing and other normal upgrades that should be present

Beautiful property. Much effort was put into grounds maintenance such as extensive mowing of grass that was less than an inch tall. It would have been nice if some of that effort could have been redirected toward clearing some of the seaweed from the beach area so that the beach/ocean could have been more usable for swimmers. Wonderful staff and excellent food.

Beautiful location but is remote. You absolutely want to have a car here so you are not trapped on resort. There is basically one restaurant. Thank goodness the food was excellent and service was very good but after 5 days of it …well I just wish there was Uber or any sort of taxi in this area but there was none. The resort should consider putting a convenient stores for sandwiches, fruit, Yogurt, books and games for family etc but overall we will be back but will just plan a little differently next time. Give this place a try! It’s worth the trip. Oh one more tip…the beach is a bit murky if front of the hotel because of the seaweed but if you walk down 5 minutes you’ll find the public beach has clear water and beautiful sand! Again worth the trip!

This property is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful sunsets and views everywhere. Nice small gym and handy beach for morning swimming, plenty of coffee. We couldn’t rally for formal dining during the casual beach vacation but we ate at the outdoor patio restaurant and enjoyed the food and drinks there. There was a lot to do in the area but it was so nice there it was hard to tear ourselves away and we relaxed more than usual 😁 Pretty much perfect.

Posted on property but not disclosed ahead of time: $100 daily fine for possessing a cooler on the premises. WHAT???? Also, they give you a reservation for their less-expensive restaurant through Resy but when you show up they say, "sorry, that restaurant is closed for the season but we have an opening at our fancy restaurant". The hostess told me it happens all the time.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good stay. From the start things were rocky, we never received a call when our room was ready and had to check back twice; dining was extremely slow - it took and our and a half to make a fish in the oven and then they must have left it on the counter bc it came out cold, plating was also not appealing; when we finally got a room there was a puddle on the floor from the air conditioning, someone came said it was fixed, woke up at 1am with a broken ac, front desk had to work with the restauran manager (couldn’t get a hold of other managers) to find another unit in working condition and change our ac, then finally went to sleep and ac started making a loud noise at 6:30am; when we told the morning manager we wanted to end our reservation early her response was we had to leave by 1pm in order to get a refund fir the night i would cancel (which takes 3-5 days). All of this was bc we asked to leave at no point did they offer anything for the inconvenience. Spa was fine.

This place was super chill. The food was really good, and the daytime servers at the beach were amazing. The room was ok, outdated and rundown. The bed was uncomfortable and they ate very stingy with the towels. Upon checkin, they couldn’t find my reservation. I showed them my confirmation and that I paid…. Rather than just get us in our room, we had to wait several hours…
