This high quality bungalow in it's own grounds, is situated in a private gated community in the exclusive urbanization of El Raso 1 in Spain's Southern Costa Blanca, between Guardamar del Segura & Torrevieja. It is 30 minutes drive south of Alicante airport and 40 minutes from Murcia airport.
Accommodation is for up to 4 people.

Inside areas:-
There is an open plan air conditioned living room /dining area, with seating for 4 people. A pellet burner stove is available to use in cooler months. “Pay As You Go" WIFI is available. When wifi is connected, you can stream TV (English speaking channels only) using our Fire Stick. A DVD player is also supplied.
The kitchen/utility area is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle; washing machine & iron with ironing board.

There are 2 bedrooms, both with air conditioning.
One has a double bed and an en-suite with shower, W.C. & wash basin.
The second bedroom has 2 single beds & a patio door leading out to the communal pool/garden area.

The main bathroom has a bath, shower, W.C., wash basin & bidet.

Outside areas:-
At the front, the bungalow has its own private south facing garden & sun terrace.
The north facing rear patio is furnished with a settee & 2 chairs, with views over the communal gardens & pool.
The solarium has 4 portable sun loungers, which may be taken to and from the pool/garden area. Some beach towels are provided. There is a charcoal BBQ and a dining table & chairs are also available on the solarium. An outside tap & hose for cooling down is provided.

There is a communal swimming pool & gardens and secure car parking just at the rear of the property.

A good selection of bars & restaurants are in the commercial centre of El Raso, only 500 metres walk from the bungalow. Free wifi/Internet access is available there.

The closest town of Guardamar with shopping, bars, restaurants & beaches is 5 minutes' drive.
The main shopping town of Torrevieja, which also has beaches & nightlife, is 10 minutes away.
The local Sunday morning market is a 2 minute drive or twenty minute stroll.

The location is ideal both for family, beach type holidays & for golfing holidays. The closest beach is only 5 minutes drive. Watersports are available along the beach. The nearest golf (Rojales) is 10 minutes & 4 further golf courses are within 20 minutes. Tennis is available in Guardamar town. The development is on the shores of one of the area's salt lake lagunas, where pleasant walks can be taken.

Please be aware that in addition to the rental price, there is a further 65 euro fee for the laundry and cleaning after your stay, to be paid directly to our property managers when you meet them at the property.

Lovely bungalow in a great location
We had a lovely time at the bungalow, it has everything you need and is very well maintained. The upstairs terrace is private and ideal for sunbathing. It is located in a secure gated community within a few minutes walk to the main bars and restaurants. Communications with the owner and key holders were excellent and the wifi was easy to set up. We would definitely recommend it and hope we will be able to visit again sometime soon.

Nice Holiday Home
Communication with hosts was great, local caretakers were friendly and always available to answer questions. Beds were comfortable, separate airco in every room, and the kids absolutely loved the pool. The place could use a bit of a refresh, but overall it was what we were looking for in a holiday home.

Fabulous stay at El Raso
Carolyn and Colin's bungalow was absolutely perfect for our family holiday this year. The property its self was the right size for our family of 4 and had everything we needed. We didn't bother getting the WiFi (amazing with 2 teenagers) we didn't feel we needed it as it was so peaceful and relaxing without. The pool was a highlight, we had it to ourselves every day and the location of the property to the coast was brilliant. Only 15mins or so to our fav beach at La Marina. Also very good spot to explore the local countryside, we enjoys trips to Orihuela, Almoradi and Elche. Thanks again we definitely hope to return 😊

Great place to stay, lovely gardens and pool area. The bungalow has everything you need uncluding air con in both bedrooms and living area. Not a bad thing to say at all and was very happy with our stay. The hosts were amazing and we're easily available to contact if needed. I would say that hiring a car would be beneficial as walking to beaches and other areas is not possible. Having said that there is a bus service that runs every hour to take you to local beaches. We also used a taxi service run by Keith who was a recommendation by the hosts, used 3 times and received a very good service. We had a great time.

Great two week stay
Great location, easy and quick walk to a number of bars and restaurants, can recommend Legends Bar and Tasty Bites - Indian (the only ones we used at the El Raso but went back to again). Pool great albeit quite a few rules on its use but these were not really restrictive even with two young children but they did not allow toy inflatables (swimming aids are fine). Mostly everyone were friendly, not to say there was any unfriendly just the few who prefer to keep to themselves. Pool was very quiet even when busy, around 10 people in total on a couple of days but as this was a residential / minor rental area it was mostly very quiet. As one would expect from a residential area there were no sun loungers by the pool side but the property did offer four plastic / traditional hotel loungers which you could take over but you would need to take them back after - we didn't find this an issue. Local beaches (Guardamar) were great but a car would be ideal if you plan to visit these a few times as with the cost of getting to and from the airport and throw in a trip or two it makes it more cost effective especially if you throw in regular shopping trips which we did. In Guardamar try the set menu at Nan Kin Chinese - recommended by a resident and did not disappoint on quality or quantity of food. Accommodation was great, aircon worked well, slept well but only complaint, and this is not specific to this property, is the occasional noise from next door. Unfortunately the method of construction of typical Spanish buildings with light weight bricks and ceramic floors, which serve well to reduce heat, are not great at insulating against noise. However, is this worse than a hotel, certainly not and would it stop us from going back or even buying, no it wouldn't. All in, a great two weeks away in a great location with lots of sun - and you have to go to Lemon Tree market on Sunday morning which starts at 9.00am Don't eat before you go as lots of places to sit down and eat, drink and buy food and your other typical market items - quite possibly the best market we have ever been to in mainland Europe. Just bring plenty of cash and park to the side of El Raso side adjacent to the coast and take /walk the short road to the market to avoid queuing to leave later on as the car park and main exit road can be hell in Summer.

Fabulous !
We have just returned from a week at the El Raso bungalow. We had a terrific time. It is in a secure mini urbanisation within El Raso, and we loved that it made the pool area secure - no one could just wander in and use it. The pool area is one of the best pool areas I have seen - so beautifully landscaped and a stunning setting. The bungalow itself was perfect for us - we sat out on the porch most evenings with our glasses of wine, and we absolutely loved the huge and private sun terrace/solarium at the top of the house. The bungalow was a two minute walk from the bars and restaurants at the commercial centre - we ate there about 4 nights of our stay - the Indian restaurant was great, as was Patagonia Steak House. And we timed the drive to the beach nr Guardamar - just 4 minutes in the car ! A perfect property in the perfect location.

Beau quartier, mais si vous cherchez à vous immerger dans la vie espagnole, passez votre chemin, il n'y a que des anglais qui ne font même pas l'effort d'essayer de parler espagnol, surtout dans les pubs et restos.
