A short walk from Hahei beach, local cafes and the store. The walkway to Cathedral Cove is 10 minutes up from the house. As well as beaches and bush walks nearby, there is fishing, surfing, sea kayaking, boat trips, diving, golfing, horse trekking, art trails, wine tasting and country stores nearby.

In Hahei, transportation options are limited due to its rural setting. Driving is the most convenient mode, with local roads providing access to nearby towns and attractions. Walking is feasible for short trips, and cyclists can explore the area on local roads. Limited regional buses or shuttles connect Hahei with larger towns, but having a car is recommended for flexibility.

For cooler evenings there is a cosy wood burner with logs provided.
